Ich habe von Mano ganz tolle Post in einem sehr schön gestalteten Umschlag bekommen. Darin war eine Postkarte mit einer ihrer Collagen und persönlichen Grüßen und ein von ihr für mich gestaltetes Collage-Buch, das mir so gut gefällt. Es ist so kreative und wunderbar. Vielen Dank liebe Mano – darüber habe ich mich sehr gefreut!
I received wonderful mail from Mano in a nice decorated envelope. Included was a postcard with a collage from her and personal greetings and a collaged book she made for me. It it so creative and fanatstic! Thank you very much Mano! You made my day!

Some Outgoing Mail Art
Ich habe eine Serie dieser Dadanaut – Collage gamacht, Der „Erstling“ ist während meiner Artist Residency in Savannah im Januar entstanden. Einige sind bereits auf dem Weg zu jemandem, andere werden noch in den kommenden Tagen verschickt.
I made a series of this dadanaut collage, The „First“ was created during my artist residency in Savannah in January. Some are already on their way to someone, others will be sent out in the next few days.
Und dann habe ich noch eine Zielscheiben-Collage für gemacht, die ich in den USA gekauft habe. Diese hier (oben) geht an Mano als Dank für den Briefmarkentausch und eine Originalcollage, die sie mit geschickt hat.
And then I made another target collage for Mano as a thank you for the stamp exchange and an original collage she sent with it.
Und dann habe ich noch einige meiner letzten Kataloge verschickt – z.B. auch an Mirjam als Dank für das riesige Collage-Material-Paket letztes Jahr. Einige sind auch nach Savannah gegangen – als Dank für nette Begegnungen und Gastfreundschaft.
Ich hoffe, alles ist gut angekommen und ich habe damit kleine Freuden auf der Welt verteilt.
And then I sent some of my last catalogues – e.g. to Mirjam as a thank you for the huge collage material package last year. Some also went to Savannah as thanks for nice encounters and hospitality.
I hope that everything was well received and I have spread little joys all over the world.
Target to Lisa D. Watson
I start to send some THANK YOUs to all the kind people I met during my Artist Residency in Savannah in January. This original collage goes to Lisa D. Watson. She donated me some collage material, visited me in my studio and took part in my workshop. We had some warm encounters and good conversations.
Ich fange an, einige Dankeschöns an all die netten Menschen zu senden, die ich während meiner Artist Residnecy in Savannah im Januar kennengelernt habe. Diese Originalcollage geht an Lisa D. Watson. Sie hat mir Collagematerial geschenkt, mich in meinem Atelier besucht und an meinem Workshop teilgenommen. Wir hatten einige herzliche Begegnungen und gute Gespräche.
Target to Donna Bassett
This orginal target collage goes to Donna Bassett as a THANK YOU for her kindness. She visited me during my first open studio during my Artist Residency at Sulfur Studios in Savannah, donated me wonderful collage material like a 100 years old German book, National Geographics and very cool vintage magazine. She again came to my workshop and to my solo show at The Lodge. It cost her a two-hour trip every time! It was so nice to meet her and we had some good talks.
Diese originale Zielschieben-Collage geht an Donna Bassett als Dankeschön für ihre Freundlichkeit. Sie besuchte mich während meines ersten offenen Studios während meiner Artist Residency in den Sulfur Studios in Savannah, spendete mir wunderbares Collagematerial wie z.B. ein 100 Jahre altes deutsches Buch, National Geographic Magazine und ein sehr cooles Vintage-Magazin. Sie kam auch zu meinem Workshop und zu meiner Einzelausstellung im The Lodge. Es kostete sie jedes Mal eine zweistündige An- und Abreise! Es war so schön, sie kennenzulernen und wir hatten einige gute Gespräche.

Das erste von zwei Büchern, die ich im Rahmen meines Kollaborationsprojektes Die ungleichen Zwillinge dieses Mal mit Vizma Bruns bearbeite, ist fertig. Zwei gleiche Bücher aus der Insel Bücherei, vor dem Altpapiercontainer gerettet, dienen als Grundlage und werden von mir an den jeweiligen Kollaborationspartner verschickt. Beide gestalten eins der beiden Bücher als Starter, beide beenden das jeweils andere, so dass am Ende zwei Originale Bücher entstanden sind. Jeder erhält sein gestartetes Buch zurück. Das ist das Buch, dass ich für Vizma gestartet habe – und sie hat es beendet. Ausgangsmaterial: Insel Bücherei Nr. 143 – André Gide: Die Rückkehr des verlorenen Sohnes
english version: The first of two books that I’ve altered as part of my collaboration project The Unequal Twins – this time with Vizma Bruns, is finished. Two identical books from the Island Library, saved from the waste paper container, serve as a basis and will be sent by me to the respective collaboration partner. Both design one of the two books as a starter, both finish the other, so that at the end two original books are created. Everyone gets his started book back. Die ungleichen Zwillinge dieses Mal mit Carol White bearbeite, ist fertig.
Zwei gleiche Bücher aus der Insel Bücherei, vor dem Altpapiercontainer gerettet, dienen als Grundlage und werden von mir an den jeweiligen Kollaborationspartner verschickt. Beide gestalten eins der beiden Bücher als Starter, beide beenden das jeweils andere, so dass am Ende zwei Originale Bücher entstanden sind. Jeder erhält sein gestartetes Buch zurück.
Das ist das Buch, dass ich für Carol gestartet habe – und sie hat es beendet.

The Unequal Twins – this time with Carol White, is finished.
