Mix Max Buch

Ein weiteres Kooperationsprojekt von Lottchen Echo, zu dem ich von ihr zur Teilnahme eingeladen wurde: Das „Mix-Max-Buch“ (im Englischen auch unter Flip-Flap oder Split-Page-Books bekannt)
Das Originalbuch ist in den Seiten horizontal halbiert und die oberen und unteren Hälften lassen sich unabhängig voneinander umblättern, wodurch eine Vielzahl von Bildvariationen möglich ist.
Lottchen hat insgesamt sechs Collagisten eingeladen, Seiten zu gestalten. Daraus entstand „Das Sammelsurium wunderbarer Schlapp-schläppchen“. JedeR Teilnehmende hat einen Katalog erhalten – das One-and-only-Original ist nun Teil von Lottchen Echos Sammlung.

Another collaborative project by @lottchenecho, to which she invited me to participate: the “Mix-Max Book” (also known in English as a flip-flap or split-page book)
The original book is split horizontally down the middle, and the top and bottom halves can be turned independently of each other, allowing for a multitude of image variations.
Lottchen invited a total of six collage artists to design pages. The result was “Das Sammelsurium wunderbarer Schlapp-schläppchen.” Each participant received a catalog—the one-and-only original is now part of Lottchen Echo’s collection.

Maintenant No. 19 – Dada Magazin

Ich freue mich außerordentlich erneut vertreten zu sein in dem Magazin „MAINTENANT“ Nr. 19 – ein Magazin für zeitgenössische Dada Kunst und Schrift, erschienen im Three Room Press Verlag, herausgegeben von Peter Carlaftes und Kat Georges.
Meine Collage – eine Kollaboration von Lynn Skordal und mir – befindet sich in illustrer Gesellschaft von Werken vieler Künstler aus der ganzen Welt, in deren Brust ebenfalls ein Dada-Herz schlägt.

I am delighted to be featured once again in MAINTENANT magazine No. 19  – a magazine for contemporary Dada art and writing, published by  Three Room Press and edited by Peter Carlaftes and Kat Georges.
My collage—a collaboration between Lynn Skordal and myself—is in illustrious company alongside works by many artists from around the world who also have a Dada heart beating in their chests.

„Double Vision“

Eine große Ehre, dass „Double Vision“ – ein kollaboratives Künstlerbuch von Lynn Skordal und mir – Teil der international jurierten Ausstellung „Bound and Unbound VIII“ der University Libraries der University of South Dakota (USA) wird.
75 Künstler mit 124 Werken aus zwölf Ländern haben sich an der Ausschreibung beteiligt. 31 Künstler und 35 Werke aus sieben Ländern wurden von der Jury, Isobelle Ouzman, zugelassen.
Die Ausstellung wird vom 25. August 2025 bis zum 5. Januar 2026 zu sehen sein.

Lynn und ich arbeiten seit 2013 kontinuierlich zusammen, und wir haben bislang 125 Collagen gemeinsam kreiert. 2015 haben wir uns persönlich kennengelernt. Lynn überreichte mir das gestartete Buch für diese Kollaboration persönlich, statt es mir, wie sonst, per Post zukommen ließ. Sehr besonders! Um so schöner, dass es nun in der Ausstellung zu sehen sein wird. Herzlichen Dank an die Jury und die University Libraries der University of South Dakota.

It is a great honor that “Double Vision” – a collaborative artist book by Lynn Skordal and myself – will be part of the internationally juried exhibition “Bound and Unbound VIII” at the University Libraries of the University of South Dakota (USA).
75 artists with 124 works from twelve countries participated in the call for entries. 31 artists and 35 works from seven countries were accepted by the jury, Isobelle Ouzman.
The exhibition will be on view from August 25, 2025 to January 5, 2026.

Lynn and I have been working together continuously since 2013, and we have created 125 collages together so far. We met in person in 2015. Lynn presented me with the launched book for this collaboration in person, rather than sending it to me by post as usual. Very special!
