„ART IN A BOX – A Polyphonic Artistic Dialogue
Vom 10. bis 19. Mai 2025 findet im Gasthaus Langue de France in der mittelalterlichen Stadt Rhodos die Ausstellung Art in a Box – A Polyphonic Artistic Dialogue statt, in der 13 thematische Boxen mit 160 Werken von 70 Künstlern aus 16 Ländern gezeigt werden. Die Ausstellung zeigt auch Drucke und Installationen der Kuratorin und bildenden Künstlerin Georgia Grigoriadou.
Art in a Box ist ein internationales Projekt, bei dem jeder der 20 teilnehmenden Künstler 20 Werke auf Papier (signiert und nummeriert, bis zu einer Größe von 15×21 cm) einreicht. Sobald die Box vollständig ist, erhält jeder Künstler eine einzigartige Sammlung von 20 verschiedenen Werken, eines von jedem Teilnehmer. Die Techniken reichen von Druckgrafik, Fotografie, Collage und Mail Art bis hin zu handgemachten Broschüren, Kurzgeschichten und Gedichten – alles, was in eine Box passt, außer Fotokopien.
Seit 2017 hat das Kunstkollektiv TeeToTuM, das von Georgia Grigoriadou koordiniert und herausgegeben wird, dreizehn solcher thematischen Boxen kuratiert. Jede dieser Boxen bringt Künstler aus der ganzen Welt zusammen und eröffnet einen Raum für den künstlerischen Dialog über Techniken, Kulturen und Ausdrucksformen hinweg.
Dieses fortlaufende Projekt bietet eine Plattform für Experimente und gemeinschaftliches Schaffen, bei dem sich Malerei, Druckgrafik, Poesie und Erzählungen überschneiden. Es schlägt ein alternatives Modell für die künstlerische Produktion vor – nicht-hierarchisch, inklusiv und kollektiv – und lädt den Betrachter ein, sich auf eine vielschichtige Erzählung einzulassen.
Diese Ausstellung ist nicht nur eine Ausstellung von Kunstwerken, sondern ein Ort der Begegnung.

„ART IN A BOX – A Polyphonic Artistic Dialogue
From May 10 to 19, 2025, the Langue de France Inn in the Medieval Town of Rhodes will host the exhibition Art in a Box – A Polyphonic Artistic Dialogue, showcasing 13 thematic boxes that include 160 works by 70 artists from 16 countries. The exhibition also features prints and installations by the curator and visual artist Georgia Grigoriadou.
Art in a Box is an international exchange box project in which each of the 20 participating artists submits 20 works on paper (signed and numbered, up to 15×21 cm). Once the box is complete, each artist receives a unique collection of 20 different works, one from each participant. Techniques range from printmaking, photography, collage, and mail art to handmade booklets, short stories, and poetry — anything that fits in a box, except photocopies.
Since 2017, the art collective TeeToTuM, coordinated and edited by Georgia Grigoriadou, has curated thirteen such thematic boxes. Each one brings together artists from around the world, opening space for artistic dialogue across techniques, cultures, and forms of expression.
This ongoing project offers a platform for experimentation and collaborative creation, where painting, printmaking, poetry, and narrative intersect. It proposes an alternative model for artistic production — non-hierarchical, inclusive, and collective — and invites the viewer to engage with a layered narrative.
