„Wipe ist eine kleine Sammelpublikation [organisiert von David Dellafiora], bei der Toilettenpapier das Medium ist. Die Verwendung eines nicht archivtauglichen, ja anti-archivtauglichen Mediums ist beabsichtigt, wobei die Vergänglichkeit und Zerbrechlichkeit des Mediums in scharfem Kontrast zu dem künstlerischen Interesse an archivtauglichen Materialien steht. Wipe ist als spielerische, leichtgewichtige Publikation konzipiert, um die Portokosten zu umgehen. Wipe ist eine Anspielung auf Duchamps Pissoir und fordert die Teilnehmer auf, mit einem Medium zu arbeiten, das fast gegen die Kunst gerichtet ist.
Die Beiträge stammen von ihrem eigenen Toilettenpapier, das an sich schon faszinierend ist und die Hygienepraktiken der verschiedenen Gesellschaften kommentiert. Trotz seiner beabsichtigten Vergänglichkeit erlaubt das Toilettenpapier das Stempeln, Nähen, Collagieren und sogar das Frotten. Wenn 20 Beiträge eingegangen sind, wird Wipe per Post an die Teilnehmer verteilt.(Text von Susan Hartigan)

„Wipe is a small assembling publication [edited by David Dellafiora] in which toilet paper is the medium. The use of a nonarchival, indeed anti-archival medium, is intentional, with the ephemerality and fragility of the medium insharp contrast with the artistic concern for archival materials. Conceived as a playful lightweight publication to circumvent postage costs, Wipe nods to Duchamp’s urinal and challenges contributors to make work on a medium that is almost anti-art.
Contributors source their own toilet paper, a source of fascination in itself and a comment on the hygiene practices of different societies. In spite of its intended ephemerality, toilet paper allows rubberstamping, stitching, collaging, and even frottaging. When 20 contributions are received, Wipe is distributed to participants by mail.(text by Susan Hartigan)

„Alles Banane“

„Alles Banane“ – meine künstlerische Maxime für 2024
im Sinne von „Alles in Ordnung, es gibt keine Probleme, alles ist so, wie es sein soll“ oder auch „Das ist egal, unwichtig oder auch unsinnig“. (Quelle)

Dafür habe ich Bananenmotive von Bananenkartons ausgeschnitten und gesammelt – entsprechend „genutzt“ sehen sie aus, und das ist gewollt, ganz im Sinne des Fluxus.
Nun sende ich diese wunderbaren gold-gelben Symbolträger an einige meiner Mail Art Freunde – in der Hoffnung, dass sie von der Post tatsächlich transportiert und zugestellt werden.
Die Bananen-Adressaten sind: Stefan Heuer, Kevin G. Brandtner, Petra Lorenz und Volker Lenkeit, Frank Voigt, Reina Huges, Tictac Patrizia, Tohei Mano, Sally Wassink, Adam Roussopoulos, Michæel Orzechowski, Bibiana Padilla Maltos.

I cut out banana motifs from banana boxes and collected them – they look appropriately „used“, and that is intentional, in the spirit of Fluxus.
Now I am sending these wonderful golden-yellow symbol carriers to some of my Mail Art friends – in the hope that they will actually be transported and delivered by the post office.

* John Held hat mir Künstlermarken gesendet, dazu zwei Mail Art Aufrufe – einer davon von 1988 – sowie Bunny-Sticker
* Vittore Baroni hat mir ein Künstler-Briefmarkenset „Art is a chemical reaction“ gesendet und weiter feine Mail Art Kunst
