This Add & Pass book was started by Jon Foster two years ago with contributions by Geronimo Finn, Susanna Lakner, Stefan Heuer, Petra Lorenz, Frank Voigt, Julie VanBortel Matevish and me and is now on the way to Annie Krim.
Dieses Add & Pass Buch hat Jon Foster vor 2 Jahren gestartet und enthält Beiträge von Geronimo Finn, Susanna Lakner, Stefan Heuer, Petra Lorenz, Frank Voigt, Julie VanBortel Matevish und mir und ist nun auf dem Weg zu Annie Krim.
Ich bin glücklich, bei dieser Ausstellung dabei zu sein: Axelle Kieffer, Kuratorin, schickte allen Teilnehmern dieser Show Starter zur Zusammenarbeit. Die Ergebnisse sind nun in der Galerie von Sulfur Studios, Savannah, GA, USA, zu sehen. Die Eröffnung findet am 2.10.2020 statt. Wie schade, dass ich nicht vorbeikommen kann – zumal mir die Räume bekannt sind, weil ich im Januar 2019 dort eine einmonatige Künstlerresidenz verbracht habe.

I am happy to be part of this exhibition: Axelle Kieffer, curator, sent starters to all participants of this show for collaboration. The results can now be seen in the gallery of Sulfur Studios, Savannah, GA, USA. The opening will take place on 2.10.2020. What a pity that I can’t come by – especially since the rooms are familiar to me, since I spent a one-month artist residency there in January 2019.

Die 3. Internationale Collage-Kunstausstellung 2020, kuratiert von Anna Klos in der Retroavangarda Galerie in Warschau (PL), war eigentlich für April geplant, wurde aber wegen des Corona-Virus abgesagt. Nun aber ist es soweit – die Ausstellung wird stattfinden! Wie wunderbar! Herzlichen Dank an Anna, dass meine Arbeit ausgewählt wurde – und für all die Arbeit, die sie in diese großartige Ausstellung investiert hat.

Das erste von zwei Büchern, die ich im Rahmen meines Kollaborationsprojektes
Die ungleichen Zwillinge bearbeite, ist fertig – dieses Mal mit Maria Elisa Quiaro.
Zwei gleiche Bücher aus der Insel Bücherei, vor dem Altpapiercontainer gerettet, dienen als Grundlage und werden von mir an den jeweiligen Kollaborationspartner verschickt. Beide gestalten eins der beiden Bücher als Starter, beide beenden das jeweils andere, so dass am Ende zwei Originale Bücher entstanden sind. Jeder erhält sein gestartetes Buch zurück.
Das ist das Buch, dass ich für Maria Elisa gestartet habe – und sie hat es beendet.

The first of two books of my collaboration project
The Unequal Twins – this time with Maria Elisa Quiaro – is finished.
Two identical books from the Island Library, saved from the waste paper container, serve as a basis and will be sent by me to the respective collaboration partner. Both design one of the two books as a starter, both finish the other, so that at the end two original books are created. Everyone gets his started book back.
This is the book I started for Maria Elisa – and she finished it.

Ich habe einen neuen Beitrag für WIPE gemacht – ein Toilettenpapier-Sammelmagazin von David Dellafiora. Dieses mal habe ich meinen Hugo Ball Stempel genutzt.

Erneut habe ich für WIPE – von Davide Dellafiora – einen Beitrag gestempelt. Ich finde die Idee, Kunst auf Toilettenpapier zu machen, wunderbar – es ist so Dada und so Fluxus. Fantstisch! Hier nun ist WIPE Nr. 125 – gefällt mir sehr!
„WIPE
Wipe ist eine kleine Montagepublikation, in der Toilettenpapier das Medium ist. Die Verwendung eines nicht-archivarischen, ja anti-archivarischen Mediums ist beabsichtigt, wobei die Vergänglichkeit und Zerbrechlichkeit des Mediums in scharfem Gegensatz zum künstlerischen Interesse an Archivmaterialien steht. Konzipiert als eine spielerische, leichte Publikation zur Umgehung der Portokosten, nickt Wipe Duchamps Urinal zu und fordert die Mitwirkenden auf, an einem Medium zu arbeiten, das fast kunstfeindlich ist.
Die Mitwirkenden beziehen ihr eigenes Toilettenpapier, eine Quelle der Faszination an sich und einen Kommentar zu den Hygienepraktiken der verschiedenen Gesellschaften. Trotz seiner beabsichtigten Flüchtigkeit ermöglicht Toilettenpapier das Prägen, Nähen, Collagieren und sogar Frottieren von Gummi. Wenn 20 Beiträge eingegangen sind, wird Wipe per Post an die Teilnehmer verteilt (Text von Susan Hartigan).

Again I made a contribution for the assembling magazine WIPE, running by David Dellafiora. I absolutely love the idea to create art on toilet tissue – this is so Dada and so Fluxus. And here it is – WIPE No. 125. I like it very much!
Maya Lopez Muro rief zu Beginn der Pandemie zu einem kollaborativen Briefmarkenprojekt auf. Alle Teilnehmer sollten den von ihr vorbereiteten Entwurf einer Briefmarke vollenden. Aus allen Zusendungen fasste sie eine Serie auf einem Bogen zusammen. Es haben so viele Menschen daran teilgenommen, dass insgesamt 20 Bögen a 31 Briefmarken entstanden sind. Vom 14. – 16 August 2020 gab es dazu eine Open Air Ausstellung in San Giovanni Valdarno, in der Provinz Arezzo in Italien. Die hätte ich mir gerne vor Ort angeschaut, aber …. „Io resto a casa – ich bleibe zu Hause“.
Maya Lopez Muro called for a collaborative stamp project at the beginning of the pandemic. All participants should complete the stamp design she had prepared. From all the stamps sent, she put together a series on one sheet. So many people took part that a total of 20 sheets of 31 stamps were created. From 14-16 August 2020 there was an open air exhibition in San Giovanni Valdarno, in the province of Arezzo in Italy. I would have liked to have had a look at it on site, but …. „Io resto a casa – I stay at home“.
Mein DREAMER hat am ECOFUTURO FESTIVAL in Padua, Italien vom 14.-18. Juli 2020 teilgenommen und wird nocheinmal in Rom im Oktober zu sehen sein. Herzlichen Dank für die Einladung an Serse Luigetti. Eine gedruckte Dokumentation wird noch folgen.
