Es ist immer schön, Sammelmagazine neu zu entdecken, bei denen ich bislang noch nicht mitgemacht habe. DOEWA ist ein solches – organisiert von Filip Goubert. 15 original Collagen, Postkartengröße, signiert, nummeriert. Ich freu mich auf das fertige Magazine.

It’s always nice to rediscover collectible magazines that I haven’t participated in before. DOEWA is one such – organized by Filip Goubert. 15 original collages, postcard size, signed, numbered. I’m looking forward to the finished magazine.

Ich freue mich sehr, erneut bei BRAIN CELL von Ryosuke Cohen dabei zu sein – diesesmal Brain Cell 1180 – mit meinen Avatar-Stickern

Ryosuke ist ein Mail Art Künstler, der 1985 das Projekt Brain Cell ins Leben gerufen hat, in das Tausende von Mail Artisten aus mehr als 80 Ländern involviert sind. „Das Projekt ist ein vernetztes Kunstprojekt, bei dem einzelne Künstler Briefmarken, Aufkleber, Zeichnungen oder andere Bilder beisteuern. Diese werden per Post an Cohen geschickt, der sie als Teil jeder Zelle zusammenstellt und druckt. Er druckt 150 Exemplare (30 x 42 cm) mit einem kleinen Siebdrucksystem namens Cyclostyle. Jeder Teilnehmender erhält per Post einen Brain Cell-Ausdruck zusammen mit einer Dokumentationsliste der Mitwirkenden weltweit.
Cohen behält eine Kopie für sich. Einige der verbleibenden Brain Cell-Drucke aus jeder Ausgabe sind zu Sätzen von 30 aufeinanderfolgenden Ausgaben zusammengestellt. Diese Sets werden an Künstler und Mail-Art-Shows auf der ganzen Welt verschickt. I am very happy to be part of BRAIN CELL by Ryosuke Cohen again – this time Brain Cell 1180 – with my avatar sticker

Ryosuke is a mail art artistlr who started the Brain Cell project in 1985, involving thousands of mail artists from more than 80 countries. „The project is a networked art project in which individual artists contribute stamps, stickers, drawings or other images. These are mailed to Cohen, who compiles and prints them as part of each cell. He prints 150 copies (30 x 42 cm) using a small screen-printing system called Cyclostyle. Each participant receives a Brain Cell print in the mail, along with a documentation list of contributors worldwide.
Cohen keeps a copy for himself. Some of the remaining Brain Cell prints from each issue are compiled into sets of 30 consecutive issues. These sets are sent to artists and mail art shows around the world. […] New issues of Brain Cell are released every eight to ten days. “ (Source)

„Tim und Struppi auf dem Postweg“ – zwei Ausstellungen in der Villa Monoyer, Lyon, Frankreich (Anfang Juni und September)
als Hommage an Hergé, dem belgischen Comiczeichner (Mai 1907 – März 1983) anlässlich seines 40. Todestages
initiiert und organisiert von Thierry Grenier, einem Sänger und Interpret französischer Chansons mit einer Leidenschaft für Tim und Struppi.
Ich freue mich sehr, dabei zu sein!
Es gibt einen pdf-Katalog von dem ich vier Seiten zeige. Thierry bat mich, nicht die vollständigen Namen der Teilnehmenden zu posten. Einige Freunde und Bekannte Mail Art Künstler sind dabei, wie z.B. Petra Lorenz, Christoph Blaise, Richard Baudet, Laurence Gillot, Mikel Untzilla und viele mehr.
Zum Ausstellungsort: Die Villa gehörte Ferdinand Monoyer (1836 – 1912), der in den 1900er Jahren ein berühmter Augenarzt und der Erfinder der Monoyer-Skala war, einer Tabelle mit kleinen Buchstaben zur Messung der Sehschärfe, die noch heute genutzt wird. Die Villa liegt in einem über 5.000 qm großen Park wo alljährlich kulturelle Veranstaltungen stattfinden. 2018 habe ich dort bereits an einer Mail Art Ausstellung zum Thema « La vue / les yeux » teilgenommen.

There is a pdf catalog of which I show four pages. Thierry asked me not to post the full names of the participants. Some friends and acquaintances Mail Art artists are there, such as Petra Lorenz, Christoph Blaise, Richard Baudet, Laurence Gillot, Mikel Untzilla and many more.
About the exhibition venue: the villa belonged to Ferdinand Monoyer (1836 – 1912), who was a famous ophthalmologist in the 1900s and the inventor of the Monoyer scale, a table of small letters used to measure visual acuity that is still used today. The villa is located in a park of over 5,000 square meters where cultural events take place every year. In 2018, I have already participated there in a mail art exhibition on the theme “ La vue / les yeux „.

Ich freue mich sehr, beim Tag der Kunst in Pirna – 2023 – (1. und 2. Juli 2023) erneut dabei gewesen zu sein. Diesmal im Rahmen des von Petra Lorenz initiierten Projekts „Dress me – Dada“, bei dem alle beteiligten Künstler zwei von ihr zur Verfügung gestellte Papier-Anziehpuppen gestalten sollten.
Kunst und Events sind beim Tag der Kunst in zahlreichen temporären Galerien sowie open air in der Altstadt von Pirna zu sehen und zu erleben. Alle Infos zu Ausstellungen und Programm siehe Veranstaltungsflyer.

I am very pleased to have been present again at the Day of Art in Pirna – 2023 (July 1 and 2, 2023). This time as part of the project „Dress me – Dada“ initiated by Petra Lorenz , in which all participating artists were to design two paper dress-up dolls provided by her.
Art and events can be seen and experienced at the Day of Art in numerous temporary galleries as well as open air in the old town of Pirna. For all informations on exhibitions and the program, see the event flyer.

Große Freude, dass ich das Cover des Hugo Ball Almanachs – Neue Folge 14 – 2023 – mit meinem Hugo Ball Stempel gestalten durfte. Herzlichen Dank an die Hugo-Ball-Gesellschaft!
Im Almanach werden Texte und Studien zu Hugo Ball, Dada und dessen Wirkungsgeschichte sowie den benachbarten Kunstströmungen veröffentlicht. Beiträge sind u.a. auch von Bernhard Rusch zu lesen. Zu beziehen bei et+K – edition text und kritik. (unbezahlte Werbung)
Außerdem ist es außerordentlich erfreulich, dass mein kreierter Hugo Ball Stempel nun Teil der Sammlung der Hugo Ball Gesellschaft in Pirmasens ist.
