The Unequal Twins
Starter to Rhed Fawell

Nach einer langen Pause, in der ich keine weiteren Starter für mein Kollaborationsprojekt „Die ungleichen Zwillinge“ versendet habe, ist es nun wieder soweit.
Hier ist das Starter Set (oben) und mein gestartetes Buch (unten) für Rhed Fawell.
Diese Bücher sind Teil eines fortlaufenden Kollaborationsprojektes namens „Die ungleichen Zwillinge“, welches ich im Jahr 2018 initiiert habe.
Zwei gleiche Bücher aus der Insel Bücherei dienen als Grundlage.
Diese werden von mir zusammengestellt und an den jeweiligen Kollaborationspartner verschickt. Beide gestalten eins der beiden Bücher als Starter, beide beenden das jeweils andere, so dass am Ende zwei Originale Bücher entstanden sind. Jeder erhält sein gestartetes Buch zurück.

After a long break of not sending out any more starters for my collaboration project „The Unequal Twins“, it’s that time again.
Here are the starter set (image 1) and my started book (image 2) for Rhed Fawell.
These books are part of an ongoing collaboration project called „The Unequal Twins“ that I initiated in 2018.
Two identical books from the Insel library serve as the basis.
These are compiled by me and sent to the respective collaboration partner. Both create one of the two books as a starter, both finish the other, so that in the end two original books are created. Each receives his started book back.

Ausstellungsvorbereitungen

Ab Anfang Mai werden meine Nymphen ausgestellt – hierfür habe ich eine von ihnen auf transparente Folie drucken lassen, die an die Schaufensterscheibe angebracht wird. Die Folie ist 180 x 128 cm (71 x 50.5 inches) groß – die Original-Collage ist 70 x 50 cm / 27,5 x 19,7 inches groß. Alles, was hier noch im Hintergrund beige zu sehen ist, ist nur das Trägerpapier – die Folie wird hier vollständig durchsichtig sein. Ich freue mich jetzt schon sehr, die Nymphe von Licht durchflutet auf Glas zu sehen.

From the beginning of May my Nymphs will be exhibited – for this I had one of them printed on transparent foil, which will be attached to the shop window. The foil is 180 x 128 cm (71 x 50.5 inches) – the original collage is 70 x 50 cm / 27,5 x 19,7 inches. Everything that is still beige in the background here is just the backing paper – the foil will be completely transparent here. I’m already very excited to see the nymph flooded with light on glass.

Zwei weitere Add&Pass Bücher

Kollaboratives Buchprojekt von Geronimo Finn mit dem Titel „Add and Pass“, an dem ich schon einige Male teilgenommen habe. Jeder Teilnehmer erstellt eine Doppelseite und sendet das Buch dann an jemand anderen. Am Ende bekommt Geronimo das Buch zurück. Seit Projektbeginn 2018  hat er etwa 300 Bücher versendet- und bislang etwa 20 zurückbekommen.
Oben Buch 1 mit Beiträgen von: Inge Hauser, Kat Diestel, Petra Lorenz, Frank Voigt und mir – „Make dada not war“ –  nun auf dem weg zu Reina Huges.

Collaborative book project by Geronimo Finn called „Add and Pass“ that I have participated in a few times. Each participant creates a double page spread and then sends the book to someone else. At the end, Geronimo gets the book back. Since the project began in 2018, he has sent out about 300 books- and so far has gotten back about 20.
Above, book 1 with contributions from: Inge Hauser, Kat Diestel, Petra Lorenz, Frank Voigt und mir – „Make Dada Not War“ –   now on the way to  Reina Huges.

Svenja Wahl aka Lottchen Echo hat mich eingeladen, bei einem neuen Kollaborationsprojekt mitzumachen. Sie hat eine Kollektion von Winzerheften und -Informations- bzw. Werbematerial an mehrere Kollaborationspartner versendet – jeder gestaltet ein Heft als Starter, jeder beendet ein von Svenja begonnenes Heft. Hier ist das Heft, das Svenja begonnen und ich beendet habe.
Alle Seiten sind ungefähr DinA-4 groß.

Svenja Wahl aka Lottchen Echo invited me to participate in a new collaboration project. She has sent out a collection of winemaker booklets and information/advertising material to several collaborators – each creating a booklet as a starter, each finishing a booklet started by Svenja. Here is the booklet Svenja started and I finished.
All pages are about DinA-4 in size.

The Introverted Post – My contribution

Ich freue mich sehr, die Seite und den Aufruf von The Introverted Post im Netz gefunden zu haben!
Und schon habe ich etwas geschickt: Einen Katalog von meiner Serie „Gesundheitsatlas“, ein Poster-Booklet, einen Katalog mit einer Kollaboration von Stefan Heuer und mir, ein Set meiner selbst entworfenen Dada-Stempel sowie ein Set meiner Collagen „Visual Poetry“. Das ergibt einen guten Überblick über das, was ich mache. Ich hoffe sehr, das die Post gut ankommt – und gefällt!

I am very happy to have found the page and the call of The Introverted Post on the net!
And already I have sent something: A catalogue of my series „Health Atlas“, a poster booklet, a catalogue with a collaboration of Stefan Heuer and me, a set of my self-designed Dada stamps and a set of my collages „Visual Poetry“. That gives a good overview of what I do. I sincerely hope that the post will be well received – and liked!

Circulaire 132 – World Collage Day

Am 8. Mai 2021 feiert Circulaire132, ein von R.F. Côté betriebenes Sammelmagazin, wieder den Welttag der Collage. Er steht unter der Gesamtorganisation von kolajmagazine.
Jeder Teilnehmer muss 25 kleine Originalkunstwerke (keine Kopien) in der Größe von 8cm x 8cm bis zum 1. April einsenden. Jeder Teilnehmer erhält per Post ein Originalexemplar des Zines mit Originalarbeiten der anderen Teilnehmer.
Hier sind meine 25 Original-Collagen.

Once again, Circulaire132, an assembling magazine running by R.F. Côté, will celebrate the World Collage Day on 8 May 2021. It is under the overall organization by kolajmagazine . Each participant must send 25 small original artworks (no copies) in size of 8cm x 8cm. Deadline 1st April. Each participant will receive an original copy of the zine by mail with original works from the other participants.
