Nachdem ich für TIC TAC Patrizias Zine in a book all die kleinen Dada-Mäulchen auf den Weg geschickt habe, war ich schon ein bisschen traurig. Deswegen habe ich meine eigene Kollektion mit neuen Bildern gemacht und alle in einem Buch zusammengefasst.

After I made my contribution for TIC TAC Patrizias Zine in a box I was a bit sad to let all those little Dada-mouths go. Therefore I made my own collection with other images and put them all together in one book.

I took part in the exhibition „Dada Centennial: Day of the Dead“ at The International Museum of Collage, Assemblage and Construction, New Mexico, USA , curated by Cecil Touchon. There is also a publication with all contribution inside.  I´m very pleased – thank you very much, Cecil.

Ich habe an der Ausstellung „Dada Centennial: Day of the Dead“ im The International Museum of Collage, Assemblage and Construction, New Mexico, USA, teilgenommen, kuratiert von Cecil Touchon. Es gibt auch eine Publikation mit allen Arbeiten. Ich freue mich sehr – vielen Dank, Cecil.

Dada Stadt Zürich

Ich habe eine 5-Tage-Tour nach Zürich gemacht, von wo aus ich einige Ausflüge unternommen habe (morgen wirst Du einen davon sehen). Natürlich musste ich auch das Cabaret Voltaire in der Spiegelgasse besuchen, wo Dada entstand. Dort fand ich den fantastischen Dada-Stadtplan „Dada Stadt Zürich“, der vom Cabaret Voltaire anläßlich des 100. Geburtstags von Dada letztes Jahr herausgegeben wurde. Auf der Rückseite ist Folgendes zu lesen: „Um das Jahr 1916 fand sich in Zürich ein internationales Publikum von DichterInnen, SchriftstellerInnen, KünstlerInnen, RevolutionärInnen, PhilosophInnen, WissenschaftlerInnen und PyschoalanytikerInnen ein. Dem 1. Weltkrieg entronnen, suchten sie Schutz in der Schweiz. … Dada Stadt Zürich zeigt das Milieu, in welchem Dada entstanden ist, indem Ihnen die Orte der Revolte, der Psyché und des Amusement vorgeführt werden sowie alle Örtlichkeiten, an denen zwischen 1916 und 1919 Dada stattgefunden hat…. Das Kartenmaterial gibt Ihnen ein Bild von Zürich vor 100 Jahren, das sie direkt mit dem Zustand heute vergleichen können.“ Was für ein Schatz!

I made a 5 days journey to Zurich from where I have taken several trips (you will see on of them tomorrow). Certainly I had to visit the Cabaret Voltaire at Spiegelgasse 1 where Dada begun. There I found the fantastic Dada-themed city map „Dada City Zurich“, published by Cabaret Voltaire and edited for the 100. anniversary of Dada which was celebrated last year. On the back page of the map you can read the following: „Around the year 1916, a number of international poets, writers, artists, revolutionaries, philosophers, psychoanalysts and scientists gathered in Zurich in order to escape the carnage of the First World War. …. Dada City Zurich shows you the milieu in which Dada could grow. It presents the places of revolt, psyché and amusement as well as the places where Dada was lived between 1916 and 1919. …. The map visuals what Zurich was like 100 years ago, offering you a direct parallel to the city´s image today.“ What a treasure!!!!
