4. Round Catalog Art Exchange
Vor einiger Zeit habe ich mit dem Tauschen meines Kataloges begonnen. Hier zeige ich nun diesmal, was ich mit Carina Granlund, Dawn Nelson Wardrope, Laurence Gillot, Lynn Skordal, Jude Worters und Sally Wassinkgetauscht habe. Es hat mir viel Spaß gemacht, so eine große Tauschaktion zu machen. (Hier, hier und hier kannst Du die ersten drei Runde sehen.)
A while ago I’ve started trading my catalog – and this is with whom I traded and what I got from Carina Granlund, Dawn Nelson Wardrope, Laurence Gillot, Lynn Skordal, Jude Worters and Sally Wassink. It was much fun for me to do such a huge trading and I got wonderful art from you, my dear friends. (Here, here und here and here you can see the first three trading.)
Spanish Flu Biennale Hungary 2018 – Egon Schiele

I was invited to create a contribution for the Spanish Flu Biennale in Hungary for the third time. This year Egon Schiele was the topic – an Austrian painter, born 1890 and died at the age of only 28 of Spanish Flu, 3 days after his pregnant wive Edith Harms, in 1918. So this year is the 100th anniversary of his death.
I watched a very interesting documentation about Egon Schiele on arte (no longer available at the mediathek). His paintings always shown hands in remarkable and unusual positions – influenced by x-rays he could at his foster father’s house. This was my inspiration to create this art work.
Ich wurde (zum dritten Mal) eingeladen, einen Beitrag für die Spanish Flu Biennale in Ungarn zu erstellen. In diesem Jahr war Egon Schiele das Thema – ein österreichischer Maler, geboren 1890 und gestorben im Alter von nur 28 Jahren an der Spanischen Grippe, 3 Tage nach seiner schwangeren Frau Edith Harms, 1918. In diesem Jahr ist also der 100. Jahrestag seines Todes.
Ich habe mir eine sehr interessante Dokumentation über Egon Schiele auf arte angesehen (nicht mehr online geschaltet – sehr schade). Seine Gemälde zeigten immer wieder Hände in bemerkenswerten und ungewöhnlichen Positionen – beeinflusst von Röntgenstrahlen, die er im Haus seines Pflegevaters sehen konnte. Das war meine Inspiration, dieses Kunstwerk zu schaffen.

Das zweite Buch der Ungleichen Zwillinge mit Peter Dowker ist fertig und somit das Zwillingspaar vollständig.
Im vorherigen Artikel habe ich den ersten Zwilling gezeigt, von mir gestartet und von Peter beendet. Hier nun das Buch, das Peter gestartet und ich fertiggestellt und an ihn zurückgeschickt habe (Video und am Ende des Artikels Fotos).

Das erste von zwei Büchern, die ich im Rahmen meines Kollaborationsprojektes
Die ungleichen Zwillinge dieses Mal mit Peter Dowker bearbeite, ist fertig.
Zwei gleiche Bücher aus der Insel Bücherei, vor dem Altpapiercontainer gerettet, dienen als Grundlage und werden von mir an den jeweiligen Kollaborationspartner verschickt. Beide gestalten eins der beiden Bücher als Starter, beide beenden das jeweils andere, so dass am Ende zwei Originale Bücher entstanden sind. Jeder erhält sein gestartetes Buch zurück.
Das ist das Buch, dass ich für Peter Dowker gestartet habe – und er hat es beendet.

The first of two books that I’ve altered as part of my collaboration project
The Unequal Twins – this time with Peter Dowker, is finished.
Two identical books from the Island Library, saved from the waste paper container, serve as a basis and will be sent by me to the respective collaboration partner. Both design one of the two books as a starter, both finish the other, so that at the end two original books are created. Everyone gets his started book back.
This is the book I started for Peter Dowker – and he finished it.

für Excavations Magazine
„WAS VOM TAGE ÜBRIG BLEIBT
Left overs von vorherigen oder geplanten aber nicht realisierten Collageprojekten.“
Zum nunmehr fünften Mal habe ich für Svenja Wahls Magazine Excavations einen Beitrag erstellt. Wie es funktioniert:
20 Künstler erstellen je 22 Originalarbeiten in max DinA 5 senden diese an Svenja. Daraus entsteht ein Magazin mit jeweils 22 Originalarbeiten aller Teilnehmenden in einer Auflage von 22 Stück. Jeder der Teilnehmenden erhält ein Exemplar des Magazins, Svenja hält 2 als Belegexemplare.

For the fifth time I have created a contribution for Svenja Wahl`s Magazine Excavations. How it works:
20 artists create 22 original works each in max DinA 5 and send them to Svenja. The result is a magazine with 22 original works by each participant in a print run of 22 pieces. Each participant receives one copy of the magazine, Svenja holds 2 as specimen copies.
