„Tim und Struppi auf dem Postweg“ – zwei Ausstellungen in der Villa Monoyer, Lyon, Frankreich (Anfang Juni und September)
als Hommage an Hergé, dem belgischen Comiczeichner (Mai 1907 – März 1983) anlässlich seines 40. Todestages
initiiert und organisiert von Thierry Grenier, einem Sänger und Interpret französischer Chansons mit einer Leidenschaft für Tim und Struppi.
Ich freue mich sehr, dabei zu sein!
Es gibt einen pdf-Katalog von dem ich vier Seiten zeige. Thierry bat mich, nicht die vollständigen Namen der Teilnehmenden zu posten. Einige Freunde und Bekannte Mail Art Künstler sind dabei, wie z.B. Petra Lorenz, Christoph Blaise, Richard Baudet, Laurence Gillot, Mikel Untzilla und viele mehr.
Zum Ausstellungsort: Die Villa gehörte Ferdinand Monoyer (1836 – 1912), der in den 1900er Jahren ein berühmter Augenarzt und der Erfinder der Monoyer-Skala war, einer Tabelle mit kleinen Buchstaben zur Messung der Sehschärfe, die noch heute genutzt wird. Die Villa liegt in einem über 5.000 qm großen Park wo alljährlich kulturelle Veranstaltungen stattfinden. 2018 habe ich dort bereits an einer Mail Art Ausstellung zum Thema « La vue / les yeux » teilgenommen.

There is a pdf catalog of which I show four pages. Thierry asked me not to post the full names of the participants. Some friends and acquaintances Mail Art artists are there, such as Petra Lorenz, Christoph Blaise, Richard Baudet, Laurence Gillot, Mikel Untzilla and many more.
About the exhibition venue: the villa belonged to Ferdinand Monoyer (1836 – 1912), who was a famous ophthalmologist in the 1900s and the inventor of the Monoyer scale, a table of small letters used to measure visual acuity that is still used today. The villa is located in a park of over 5,000 square meters where cultural events take place every year. In 2018, I have already participated there in a mail art exhibition on the theme “ La vue / les yeux „.

Ich freue mich sehr, beim Tag der Kunst in Pirna – 2023 – (1. und 2. Juli 2023) erneut dabei gewesen zu sein. Diesmal im Rahmen des von Petra Lorenz initiierten Projekts „Dress me – Dada“, bei dem alle beteiligten Künstler zwei von ihr zur Verfügung gestellte Papier-Anziehpuppen gestalten sollten.
Kunst und Events sind beim Tag der Kunst in zahlreichen temporären Galerien sowie open air in der Altstadt von Pirna zu sehen und zu erleben. Alle Infos zu Ausstellungen und Programm siehe Veranstaltungsflyer.

I am very pleased to have been present again at the Day of Art in Pirna – 2023 (July 1 and 2, 2023). This time as part of the project „Dress me – Dada“ initiated by Petra Lorenz , in which all participating artists were to design two paper dress-up dolls provided by her.
Art and events can be seen and experienced at the Day of Art in numerous temporary galleries as well as open air in the old town of Pirna. For all informations on exhibitions and the program, see the event flyer.

Das ist mein Beitrag zur Mail Art Ausstellung „Das Vergängliche (Ephemere) in der Kunst“ im Fotografiezentrum von Thessaloniki.
Das Konzept gefällt mir sehr gut: „Ephemer wird als Kunst definiert, die von Beginn ihrer Konzeption und Entstehung an keinen Schwerpunkt auf die langfristige Erhaltung des Kunstwerks legt, was sich beispielsweise der Künstler für den Verkauf eines seiner visuellen Werke wünscht. Der ephemere Charakter eines Werkes, insbesondere wenn es in die Natur und mit Materialien aus der unmittelbaren Umgebung eingeschrieben ist, bestimmt zum Teil die Lebenseinstellung und die Art und Weise, wie der Schöpfer seine Kunst ausübt, sowie einige Elemente der Form des Werkes selbst. Der Künstler gerät in ein existenzielles Dilemma, da er seinen Narzissmus überwinden und akzeptieren muss, dass sein Werk von der Natur absorbiert wird und nicht zum Vehikel seiner „Unsterblichkeit“ wird. […]
Aufgrund des ephemeren Charakters, der die Kunstwerke ephemerer Künstler wie Christo und Jeanne-Claude, Julian Beaver und Andy Goldsworthy auszeichnet, spielt die Fotografie eine entscheidende Rolle bei der Erfassung ihrer temporären Präsenz, ihrer Dynamik, ihrer Schönheit oder der Anliegen der Kompositionen/Installationen verströmen.
Wie Goldsworthy selbst sagte: „…Jedes Werk entwickelt sich, überlebt, verfällt, ist Teil eines Zyklus, den uns die Fotografie in seiner Gesamtheit zeigen kann und zeigt und den Moment unterstreicht und hervorhebt, in dem das Werk am lebendigsten ist …““ (Quelle)

This is my contribution to the Mail Art exhibition „Ephemeral in Art“ at the Photography Center of Thessaloniki.
I like the concept very much: „Ephemeral is defined as art that, from the beginning of its conception and creation, does not focus on the long-term preservation of the work of art, which is what the artist wants for the sale of one of his visual works, for example. The ephemeral nature of a work, especially when inscribed in nature and with materials from the immediate environment, in part determines the creator’s outlook on life and the way he or she practices his or her art, as well as some elements of the form of the work itself. The artist finds himself in an existential dilemma, as he must overcome his narcissism and accept that his work will be absorbed by nature and not become the vehicle of his „immortality.“ […]
Because of the ephemeral nature that characterizes the artworks of ephemeral artists such as Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Julian Beaver, and Andy Goldsworthy, photography plays a crucial role in capturing their temporary presence, their dynamism, their beauty, or the concerns the compositions/installations exude.
As Goldsworthy himself said, „…Each work evolves, survives, decays, is part of a cycle that photography can and does show us in its entirety, underlining and highlighting the moment when the work is most alive…““ (source)
