Diesesmal von
* Reina Huges (NL): Sie fand einen Artikel über Hannah Höch in einem Magazin, den sie mir geschickt hat, zusammen mit einem kleinen selbstgestalteten Booklet und einem wie immer wunderbar dekorierten Briefumschlag
* Von Maria Gilges (D) habe ich erneut wunderschönes Ephemera geschenkt bekommen.
* Dorothée Mesander (GRC) hat mir, zusammen mit dem ersten unserer Zwillingsbuches, zwei Originalarbeiten von ihr mitgeschickt – was für eine schöne Überraschung
* Jose Nogueira (BRA) und ich haben zum ersten Mal Mail Art ausgetauscht – er hat mir eine afrikanische Maske in einem von ihm bemalten Umschlag gesendet.
* Vittore Baroni (I) hat mir einen dicken Umschlag, voll mit abwechslungsreichem und überraschendem Inhalt gesendet: Ein „Perishable Poem“ („Verderbliches Gedicht), ein Visual Poetry Love Letter, viele Künstler-Marken, ein „Happiness Kit“ und vieles mehr
* von Tohei Mano (JPN) habe ich eine Hommage an Kurt Schwitters, eine „Tin Can Gallery“ und Künstler Marken, eine Postkarte und eine Einladung zu einer Mail Art Biennale in Japan – an der ich teilnehmen werde

* Reina Huges (NL): She found an article about Hannah Höch in a magazine, which she sent to me, together with a small booklet of her own design and an envelope, beautifully decorated as always.
* From Maria Gilges (D) I received again beautiful ephemera as a gift.
* Dorothée Mesander (GRC) sent me, together with the first of our twin books, two original works by her – what a nice surprise
* Jose Nogueira (BRA) and I exchanged mail art for the first time – he sent me an African mask in an envelope he painted.
* Vittore Baroni (I) sent me a thick envelope, full of varied and surprising content: A „Perishable Poem“, a Visual Poetry Love Letter, many artists‘ stamps, a „Happiness Kit“ and much more.
* from Tohei Mano (JPN) I received a tribute to Kurt Schwitters, a „Tin Can Gallery“ and artist stamps, a postcard and an invitation to a Mail Art Biennale in Japan – which I will attend

Folgende Materialien sind u.a. enthalten: 100+ Jahre alter Buchdeckel / Butterverpackungspapier / Lebensmittelmarken für Fett von 1946 / echte Kupferteile, aufgenäht und aufgeklebt / Innenblatt des Buches „The Anatomy of Revolution“ von Crane Brinton.

Das ist mein Beitrag zum Mail Art Aufruf des Jheronimus Bosch Art Centers (in Zusammenarbeit mit The Museum of Instant Images / ColoriMii) in ’s-Hertogenbosch, NL zum Thema „Des Künstler Atelier“. Man sollte einen Beitrag einreichen, in dem ein Eindruck von dem eigenen Atelier abgebildet ist – nicht nur ein Foto oder ein Selfie sondern auf die eigene, künstlerische Art und Weise. Ich habe mich entschieden, Materialien zu verwenden, die für meine Arbeit exemplarisch sind: Buchdeckel, alte Fotos und Negative, Ausschnitte aus alten Zeitungen, Buchstaben.
Die eingereichten Arbeiten werden dieses Jahr im Jheronimus Bosch Art Center ausgestellt.
Ich nehme nun zum dritten Mal an einem Mail Art Call von ihnen teil – und ich habe mir die beiden vorherigen Male die Ausstellung angeschaut, die mich jedesmal begeistert haben. Ich freue mich auch dieses Jahr wieder darauf, nach ’s-Hertogenbosch zu reisen und mir die neue Ausstellung anzuschauen.

This is my contribution to the Mail Art call of the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center (in co-operation with The Museum of Instant Images / ColoriMii) in ’s-Hertogenbosch, NL on the theme „The Artist’s Studio“. You should submit an entry that shows an impression of your own studio – not just a photo or a selfie but in your own, artistic way. I decided to use materials that are exemplary of my work: Book covers, old photos and negatives, clippings from old newspapers, letters.

The submitted works will be exhibited this year at the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center.
This is the third time I’m participating in a Mail Art Call from them – and I’ve looked at the exhibition the previous two times, and it has thrilled me each time. I’m looking forward to traveling to ’s-Hertogenbosch again this year to see the new exhibition.

Franticham´s Assembling Box No 49

Ich freue mich, wieder in Franticham´s Assembling Box (von Francis Van Maele und Antic Ham) dabei zu sein, dieses Mal in Nr. 49 mit meinen Visual Poetries. Weiter unten sind einige von ihnen exemplarisch zu sehen.
Franticham´s Assembling Box ist eine A5-Box mit Beiträgen von 25 eingeladenen Künstlern, die Beiträge zum Thema visuelle Poesie, Collagen, Drucke, Multiples und Objekte kreieren. Daraus entstehen 40 signierte und nummerierte Boxen. Nur 15 Exemplare stehen zum Verkauf zur Verfügung – je eine Box erhalten die teilnehmenden Künstler.

I’m pleased to be back in Franticham’s Assembling Box (by Francis Van Maele and Antic Ham), this time in #49 with my Visual Poetries. Below are examples of some of them.
Franticham’s Assembling Box is an A5 box with contributions from 25 invited artists creating visual poetry contributions, collages, prints, multiples and objects. This will result in 40 signed and numbered boxes. Only 15 copies are available for sale – one box will be given to each of the participating artists.

Das erste von zwei Büchern, die ich im Rahmen meines Kollaborationsprojektes
Die ungleichen Zwillinge bearbeite, ist fertig – dieses Mal mit Dorothée Mesander (GRC).
Zwei gleiche Bücher aus der Insel Bücherei, vor dem Altpapiercontainer gerettet, dienen als Grundlage und werden von mir an den jeweiligen Kollaborationspartner verschickt. Beide gestalten eins der beiden Bücher als Starter, beide beenden das jeweils andere, so dass am Ende zwei Originale Bücher entstanden sind. Jeder erhält sein gestartetes Buch zurück.
Das ist das Buch, dass ich für Dorothée gestartet habe – und sie hat es beendet.

Both design one of the two books as a starter, both finish the other, so that at the end two original books are created. Everyone gets his started book back.

Mein Beitrag zum Aufruf von Maria Chorianopoulou. Die Organisation Cycladia veranstaltet jedes Jahr das dreitägige „Cycladic Light & Earth Festival“ (30. Juli – 1. August), und Maria wird während des Festivals eine Mail Art Ausstellung organisieren.

My contribution to the call from Maria Chorianopoulou. Cycladia organisation holdes the three-day „Cycladic Light & Earth Festival“ every year (July 30th-August 1st), and Maria will organise a mail art exhibition during the festival.

Es hat Spaß gemacht, an dem Aufruf von Edinburg Collage Collective mit dem Thema „Play and Record“ – Cassette Tape Collages teilzunehmen. Ich habe zwei Arbeiten gemacht- ein Portrait mit dem Titel „Face Time“ und ein Buch mit dem Titel „Vom Anfang bis zum Ende“, wozu ich das Buch aus der Inselbücherei Nr. 579 – Jean Paul – Horn und Flöte – Auswahl von Ernst Bertram verwendet habe.

Face Time - Cassette Tape Collage

It was fun to participate in the Edinburg Collage Collective call with the theme „Play and Record“ – Cassette Tape Collages. I made two works – a portrait titled „Face Time“ and a book titled „From the Beginning to the End“ using the book from Inselbücherei No. 579 – Jean Paul – Horn und Flöte – Auswahl von Ernst Bertram.

Excavations Assembling Magazine No8

I took part in the assembling magazine „Excavations“ running by Svenja Wahl: 20 artists created 20 original works and send them to Svenja. This resulted in a magazine including 20 original works of each participant with an edition of 20 copies. Each participant received one copy of the magazine.

20 Künstler haben je 20 Originalarbeiten in DinA 5 erstellt und an Svenja geschickt. Daraus entstand ein Magazin mit jeweils 20 Originalarbeiten aller Teilnehmenden in einer Auflage von 20 Stück. Jeder der Teilnehmenden hat ein Exemplar des Magazins erhalten.
