Ein von TicTac Ptrzia organisiertes Mail Art Projekt und Sammelmagazin, für das jeder der 21 Teilnehmenden eine Geschichte, einen Text o.Ä. in seiner eigenen Landessprache zu einem von TicTac zur Verfügung gestellten Polaroid erfinden sollte. So ist eine wunderbare Sammlung entstanden. Ich freue mich sehr, dazu eingeladen worden zu sein. Vielen Dank an TicTac.

Das Polaroid, zu dem ich gearbeitet habe ist, unten zu sehen. Dazu habe ich das Spiel Cadavre Exquisite gespielt und folgenden Text dazu eingereicht.
CADAVRE EXQUIS Definition von André Breton: Cadavre exquis – Spiel mit gefaltetem Papier, in dem es darum geht, einen Satz oder eine Zeichnung durch mehrere Personen konstruieren zu lassen, ohne dass ein Mitspieler von der jeweils vorhergehenden Mitarbeit Kenntnis erlangen kann. Das klassisch gewordene Beispiel, das dem Spiel seinen Namen gegeben hat, bildet den ersten Teil eines auf diese Weise gewonnenen Satzes: Le cadavre-exquis-boira-le-vin-nouveau (frz. = „Der köstliche-Leichnam-wird-den-neuen-Wein-trinken“)
Der köstliche Leichnam trinkt den neuen Wein. Das gesammelte Schweigen trägt den seelenfrohen Weltenbummler.
Das vergnügliche Interesse träumt vom zentnerschweren Libellenflügeln. Der handzahme Weltschmerz kontaktiert den messerscharfen Mondmönch. Das gefährliche Steckenpferd eleminiert das liebesbeflügelte Gefängnis. Das wasserdichte Fernweh inspiriert den hauchdünnen Blickfang. Die schnurgerade Gedankenwelt kompromitiert die wunderliche Schwermut.
Das wandelnde Dämmerlicht fürchtet das griesgrämige Glückskind.

A mail art project and collectible magazine organized by TicTac Ptrzia, for which each of the 21 participants had to invent a story, text or similar in their own national language to a Polaroid provided by TicTac. The result was a wonderful collection. I am very happy to have been invited to do this. Many thanks to TicTac.

CADAVRE EXQUIS Definition of André Breton: Cadavre exquis – game with folded paper, in which the object is to have a sentence or drawing constructed by several people without any of the other players being able to know about the previous cooperation. The classic example that gave the game its name forms the first part of a sentence obtained in this way: Le cadavre-exquis-boira-le-vin-nouveau (French = „The delicious corpse will drink the new wine“).
The delicious corpse drinks the new wine. The collected silence carries the soulful globetrotter. The pleasurable interest dreams of the centner-heavy dragonfly wings. The hand-tame world-weariness contacts the razor-sharp moon monk. The dangerous hobbyhorse eleminates the love-winged prison. The waterproof wanderlust inspires the gossamer eye-catcher. The dead-straight world of thought compromises the whimsical gloom. The walking twilight fears the grouchy child of happiness.

Das Titelblatt ist ein Stadtplan von Düsseldorf (meinem Wohnort) aus den 1970ger Jahren, den Mister Boog vor vielen Jahren in einem Antiquariat gefunden hat. Das finde ich besonders aufmerksam, und es hat mich sehr gefreut. Hier kannst Du meinen Beitrag sehen – 20 Original-Collagen, die Boog auf 20 Sammelmagazine verteilt hat.

I’m very happy to be part of @RtH*Le No1235 for the first time with one of my collages – an assembling zine run by Mr. Boog.
The cover is a 1970s map of Düsseldorf (where I live) that Mister Boog found in a used bookstore many years ago. I find that particularly thoughtful, and it made me very happy.

Zugegeben – ich bin im Sammelmagazin-Rausch. Zur Zeit habe ich sehr viel Freude daran, Beiträge für mir bekannte Magazine zu erstellen aber auch für solche, an denen ich bislang noch nicht teilgenommen habe. Das Zick Zack Zine von Alfonso Aguado Ortuño ist ein solches. 10 Original-Collagen in der Größe 10×10 cm mit einem Kürbiselement darin.
Ich bin sehr gespannt auf die anderen Beiträge und freue mich schon, das erste ZickZack in den Händen zu halten.
Admittedly – I am in an assembling magazine frenzy. At the moment I’m having a lot of fun creating contributions for magazines I’m familiar with but also for ones I haven’t participated in yet. The Zick Zack Zine by Alfonso Aguado Ortuño is one such. 10 original collages in size 10×10 cm with a pumpkin element in it.
I’m very excited to see the other entries and look forward to holding the first ZickZack in my hands.

Erneut habe ich für WIPE – von Davide Dellafiora – einen Beitrag gestempelt. Diesesmal mit meinem selbst entworfenen Kurt Schwitters Stempel.
Ich finde die Idee, Kunst auf Toilettenpapier zu machen, wunderbar – es ist so Dada und so Fluxus. Fantstisch! Ich bin schon auf die Beiträge der anderen gespannt.
„WIPE Wipe ist eine kleine Sammelpublikation, in der Toilettenpapier das Medium ist. Die Verwendung eines nicht-archivarischen, ja anti-archivarischen Mediums ist beabsichtigt, wobei die Vergänglichkeit und Zerbrechlichkeit des Mediums in scharfem Gegensatz zum künstlerischen Interesse an Archivmaterialien steht. Konzipiert als eine spielerische, leichte Publikation zur Umgehung der Portokosten, nickt Wipe Duchamps Urinal zu und fordert die Mitwirkenden auf, an einem Medium zu arbeiten, das fast kunstfeindlich ist. Die Mitwirkenden beziehen ihr eigenes Toilettenpapier, eine Quelle der Faszination an sich und einen Kommentar zu den Hygienepraktiken der verschiedenen Gesellschaften. Trotz seiner beabsichtigten Flüchtigkeit ermöglicht Toilettenpapier das Prägen, Nähen, Collagieren und sogar Frottieren von Gummi. Again I made a contribution for the assembling magazine WIPE, running by David Dellafiora. This time with my self-designed Kurt Schwitters stamp. I absolutely love the idea to create art on toilet tissue – this is so Dada and so Fluxus. I am already curious about the contributions of others.
„Wipe Wipe is a small assembling publication in which toilet paper is the medium. The use of a nonarchival, indeed anti-archival medium, is intentional, with the ephemerality and fragility of the medium insharp contrast with the artistic concern for archival materials. Conceived as a playful lightweight publication to circumvent postage costs, Wipe nods to Duchamp’s urinal and challenges contributors to make work on a medium that is almost anti-art. Contributors source their own toilet paper, a source of fascination in itself and a comment on the hygiene practices of different societies. In spite of its intended ephemerality, toilet paper allows rubberstamping, stitching, collaging, and even frottaging.
