Es macht immer wieder Spaß, bei Art X Mail teilzunehmen! Dieses Mal bat mich Frank Voigt, ein Element eines 3D-Objektes zu collagieren. Ein von ihm gestaltetes Gegenstück wird montiert – und das Gesamtwerk findet Einzug in die Ausstellung PAPA MAMA DADA finden. Aber dazu später mehr!

It’s always fun to participate in Art X Mail! This time Frank Voigt asked me to collage an element of a 3D object. A counterpart designed by him is assembled – and the complete work finds its way into the exhibition PAPA MAMA DADA finden. But more about that later!

Das erste von zwei Büchern, die ich im Rahmen meines Kollaborationsprojektes
Die ungleichen Zwillinge dieses Mal mit Svenja Wahl bearbeite, ist fertig.
Zwei gleiche Bücher aus der Insel Bücherei, vor dem Altpapiercontainer gerettet, dienen als Grundlage und werden von mir an den jeweiligen Kollaborationspartner verschickt. Beide gestalten eins der beiden Bücher als Starter, beide beenden das jeweils andere, so dass am Ende zwei Originale Bücher entstanden sind. Jeder erhält sein gestartetes Buch zurück.
Das ist das Buch, dass ich für Svenja gestartet habe – und sie hat es beendet.

The first of two books that I’ve altered as part of my collaboration project
The Unequal Twins – this time with Svenja Wahl, is finished.
Two identical books from the Island Library, saved from the waste paper container, serve as a basis and will be sent by me to the respective collaboration partner. Both design one of the two books as a starter, both finish the other, so that at the end two original books are created. Everyone gets his started book back.
This is the book I started for Svenja – and she finished it.

During my Artist Residency in Savannah at Sulfur Studios I found a bunch of vintage Valentine Greetings and bought some of them. Here is the third of the ones I altered. It´s movable – as if she is surfing o the waves.
Während meiner Artist Residency in Savannah bei Sulfur Studios habe ich in einem Secondhand Geschäft sehr viele alte Valentinstagskarten gefunden und einige davon gekauft. Hier ist die dritte, die ich bearbeitet habe. Sie kann bewegt werden, so dass es aussieht, als würde sie auf den Wellen reiten.
