Kolaj Magazine #22
Das Kolaj Magazine #22 brachte einen Artikel über das Flying Glue Book Projekt mit einer Auswahl von Teilnehmern. Ich fühle mich sehr geehrt, dabei zu sein – bei dem Projekt und in dem Artikel – neben anderen wunderbaren Collagisten wie Aaron Beebe, Ted Tollefsen, Deborah Stevenson, Alice Arango, Alison Kurke, Carol White, Axelle Kieffer, Zach Collins, Zarka, Geronimo Finn, Holger Becker, Tony Melser, Flore Kunst, Kathrin Göpfert, Karyn Hubermann, Lucinda Abra, Alice Lam, Susanna Lakner, Aleksandra Perzynska.
Vielen Dank auch noch einmal an Carol White für all die Arbeit, die sie in das Projekt, in die Gruppe und in den Artikel gesteckt hat!

Vernissage in Butzbach
Es war eine wunderbare Eröffnung am Donnerstag, 26.4., in der Galerie 511 – Weidigschule in Butzbach. Ausgestellt wird eine Kunstinsatllation der Galerie-Mitglieder und meine Arbeiten. Die Direktorin, Annette Richter, hielt eine sehr wertschätzende Rede, genauso wie die Lehrerin und Galerie-Leiterin Gudrun Salz. Die Galerie-Mitglieder Aimée, Ben, Emine, Feli und Felicia, Jasmin, Lara, Laura, Milena, Sabina, Sandra und Sofia haben die fantastische Einladungskarte, das Poster und die Hängung gemacht sowie interessante Fragen für das Künstlergespräch vorbereitet. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Weltkarte mit der Verortung meiner Collab-Freunde, mit einigen ausgedruckten Beispielen von Collabs collabs mit Ed Wakefield, Alison Kurke, Lynn Skordal, Chrissy, Josephine, Sacha Tanugi Cohen, Cuan Miles, Tali Gil, Vizma Bruns und Koji Nagai.!
Mein herzlicher Dank an alle Beteiligten für all die wunderbare Arbeit. Es war mir ein Vergnügen, zu dieser Ausstellung eingeladen worden zu sein.
Die Ausstellung läuft noch bis zum 11. Mai 2018.
It was a wonderful opening on Thursday, 26th of April at Galerie 511 – Weidigschule in Butzbach. You can see an installation with the works of the Gallery members and my works. The principal of the school, Annette Richter, hold a very appreciative speech, and so did the art teacher and gallery director Gurdun Salz. The students Aimée, Ben, Emine, Feli and Felicia, Jasmin, Lara, Laura, Milena, Sabina, Sandra and Sofiamade the fantastic invitation card, the poster and the hanging and they prepared interesting questions for the artist talk. I was especially impressed by the overview of the localization of my collaboration pals with some examples of collabs with Ed Wakefield, Alison Kurke, Lynn Skordal, Chrissy, Josephine, Sacha Tanugi Cohen, Cuan Miles, Tali Gil, Vizma Bruns and Koji Nagai.
Thank you very much to all of you for all the wonderful work you did. It was a great pleasure too be invited to exhibit my collages in (at?) your school gallery!
The show is running till Friday, 11. May 2018.
Collage Garden – NYC
Im Dezember letzten Jahres habe ich bereits mit drei Collagen an dem Projekt “The Collage Garden – NL” in Leidsenhage teilgenommen (hier nachzulesen): Eine Open-air-Ausstellung mit Collagen von Künstlern aus den Niederlanden und dem Rest der Welt. In den Niederlanden war Juliette Pestel die Organisatorin. Das Gesamt-Projekt organisiert die Instagram-Gruppe “Collage Garden” – sie hat diese Art der Collage-Gärten bereits in Barcelona, London, Jakarta und vielen anderen Orten organisiert, und nun im Mai in New York City. Ich freue mich sehr, erneut dabei zu sein – dieses mal mit diesen drei etwa DinA-4 großen Bouquets. Sie sind ohne Hintergrund erstellt, so dass sie vor Ort direkt an die entsprechende Wand geklebt werden können. Ich wäre so gerne vor Ort, um mir das anzuschauen! Viel Glück mit dem schönen Projekt!
Last year in December I participated already with three collages in “The Collage Garden – NL” in Leidsenhage (see here). It is an open air exhibition with collages from artists all over the world. Juliette Pestel was the organiser for the Netherlands. The whole project is running by the Instagram-Group “Collage Garden” – they made those kind of collage gardens already in Barcelona, London, Jakarta and many more locations. This time it happens in New York City during May – and I contribute with these three approximate DinA-4 sized bouquet collages. They are made without background and they will be glued directly on the wall. I really would like to be there – but that´s too far away for me. Good luck with this wonderful project!
