Durch einen Zufall bin ich auf Hannelore Baron (1926 – 1987) aufmerksam geworden. Auch sie war ein „Survivor“, denn ihre jüdische Familie floh während des 2. Weltkrieges letztlich bis nach New York. Sie schuf sehr persönliche, abstrakte Collagen und Assemblagen, die sie ab Ende der 1960er Jahre ausstellte. In dem obigen Video, leider auch nur in englisch, kann man viele ihrer Arbeiten sehen – die mich auch an Werke von Joseph Cornell und Kurt Schwitters denken lassen. By chance I became aware of Hannelore Baron (1926 – 1987). She too was a „survivor“, because her Jewish family fled during the 2nd World War, ultimately all the way to New York. She created very personal, abstract collages and assemblages, which she exhibited from the late 1960s onwards.
