This month it´s my turn to be the „theme chooser“ for The Kollage Kit. First theme I have chosen is: Portrait.
Diesen Monat bin ich an der Reihe Themen für The Kollage Kit vorzuschlagen. Mein erstes Thema, das ich vorschlage ist: Portrait.

So inspiriert von der Gasthof Worringer Platz – Lesezeichen-Ausstellung habe ich Christoph Wilde gefragt, ob er noch einige Lesezeichen aus seiner Sammlung entbehren könnte. Konnte er! Und schenkte mir gefühlte 30 Kilo! Ich danke Dir sehr, Christoph! Dann war ich ersteinmal tagelang damit beschäftigt, alles zu sichten. Und danach entstanden erste Collagen, die ich in den nächsten Tagen zeigen werde.
So inspired by the Gasthof Worringer Platz – bookmarks-exhibition I asked Christoph Wilde if he has still some bookmarks to spare. He could! And gave me around 30 kilos! Thank you so much Cristoph! First of all I was occupied with winnowing all the material for days. And after this first collages came up which I´m going to show during the next days.

Gasthof Worringer Platz: Ausstellung in den Zimmern des Hotels friends

In der Ausstellung „Zimmer 003“ zeigen Andrea Knobloch und Oliver Gather eine Auswahl von Lesezeichen aus der Sammlung des Antiquars Christoph Wilde. Er sammelte über Jahre die in den Büchern vergessenen Lesezeichen. Mehrere Umzugskartons haben sich mittlerweile damit gefüllt, darunter „Post-, Glückwunsch-, Einladungs- und Eintrittskarten, Zeitungsartikel, Papierschnipsel, Notizzettel, Fotografien, Briefe, Kochrezepte, getrocknete Blumen und Blätter und vieles mehr.“ Knobloch und Gather stellten diese thematisch zusammen und präsentieren die Kompositionen in Schautafeln in den Zimmern des Hotels Friends. Bei der Venissage gab es eine Lesezeichen-Lesung mit dem Schauspieler Daniel Cerman.

He collected over the years the in the books forgotten bookmarks, such as post-, congratulatory-, invitation cards, tickets, newspaper articles, snippets, notepads, fotografies, letters, recipes, dried flowers and leaves and much more. Knoblich and Gather sort them according to topics and presenting the compositions in charts in the rooms of the hotel „friends“. During the vernissage was a bookmark-reading with actor Daniel Cerman.
