Ich habe es geschafft, dort noch hinzukommen! In der Schirn – Kunsthalle Frankfurt ist noch bis zum 25. Mai die Ausstellung: Poesie der Großstadt – Die Affichisten zu sehen. In den 1950ger und 1960ger Jahren rissen die „Affichisten“ Teile alter, vielschichtiger Plakatwände ab und erklärten sie – teils belassen, teils weiterverarbeitet – zu Kunstwerken. Decollage in Reinform. Die Ausstellung war eine Reise wert! Unten noch ein Video über die Ausstellung.

I made it to see this exhibition! The museum Schirn – Kunsthalle Frankfurt is showing the exhibition „The Poetry of the Metropolis – The Affichistes“ till 25. May. In the 1950s and 1960s the „Affichistes“ teared off pieces from old and multi-layered billboards, reworked them or left them unchanged, and declared that this is artwork. Decollage in the pure form! Take a look – it´s worth it!
