Film- und Soundarbeiten, raumgreifende Videoinstallationen und Skulpturen von Doug Aitken sind auf der gesamten Ausstellungsfläche der Schirn Frankfurt noch bis zum 27. September 2015 zu sehen. Absolut sehenswert!
Die Videoinstallation Migration – amerikanische Wildtiere in menschenleeren Motels – hat mich ebenso fasziniert wie die 360°-Mehrkanal-Videoinstallation „Song 1“ mit dem musikalische Leitmotiv des Liedes „I only have eyes for you“ von 1934.

Film- and sound works, large-scale video installations and sculptures by Doug Aitken on the complete exhibition space of Schirn Frankfurt can be seen until September 27, 2015. Not to be missed!
My most favorites have been the video installation Migration – american wild animals in uninhabited motels- and the 360°-multi channel-video-installation „Song 1“ with the musical leitmotif of the song „I only have eyes for you“ from 1934.

China 8 – Zeitgenössische Kunst aus China an Rhein und Ruhr
8 Städte, 9 Museen, 120 KünstlerInnen, 500 Werke
Diesmal: Museum Folkwang Essen: „Works in progress – Fotografie“ (5)
und MKM Museum Küppersmühle Duisburg: „Das Vokabular der sichtbaren Welt – Malerei“ (6)
In Essen hat mir am besten Du Yangfangs Serie „Dreaming Back Homeland“ von 2013 gefallen: Fotos, kombiniert mit aus ihrer Kindheit erinnerten Szenen des dörflichen Alltagslebens, die sie zunächst mit Tusche gemalt und später in Collagetechnik montiert und dann abfotografiert hat.
In Duisburg haben mir die riesigen Ölgemälde von Zeng Fanzhi sowie Zhang Huans Gemälde aus Asche auf Leinwand besonders gut gefallen.

I liked at the best in Essen: Du Yangfang´s series „Dreaming Back Homeland“ from 2013. She combined photos with ink paintings, showing her childhood memories with scenes from her rural daily life. In a next step she inserted these paintings into the photo prints and finally she made again a photo of these collages.
In Duisburg I liked Zeng Fanzhi´s giant oil paintings at the best as well as Zhang Huan´s paintings with ash on linen.
