The Flying Glue Book Project
Ich bin Mitglied der Facebookgruppe The Flying Glue Book Project: Mehrere handgemachte Bücher sind aug dem Weg zu Collagisten auf der ganzen Welt, die jeweils eine Doppelseite gestalten und dann zum nächsten schicken. Ich habe ein ganz neues handgemachtes Buch von Ted Tollefson geschickt bekommen (13,5 x 9,7 cm), meine Seiten gestaltet und schicke es nun zu Susanna Lakner, die die Nächsten in der Reihe ist.
I´m a member of the Facebook group The Flying Glue Book Project: Several handmade books are on their way to collagists all over the world to complete one double page and send forward to the next. I received a brand new handmade book (13,5 x 9,7 cm) from Ted Tollefsen , finished my pages and send them to Susanna Lakner, who is next in line.

Nach Jahren habe ich mal wieder einen Linolschnitt gemacht. In der Schule hat es mir damals keinen Spaß gemacht – jetzt bin ich froh, dass ich es gelernt habe! Mal sehen, was ich damit noch mache. (Herz ca 14 x 9 cm)
After years I made linocut again. I did´t like it in school but now I´m glad that I´ve learned it a long time ago. We will see what I´m going to do with it.

Luftmuseum Amberg
(english version below)
Ich hatte ein ganz wunderbares Wochenende in Etsdorf und Amberg (Bayern) und habe unter anderen Highlights auch das Luft Museum in Amberg besucht, wo man Luft hören, sehen, begreifen, erleben und verstehen kann. Das Luft Museum wurde Anfang 2006 in Eigeninitiative des Künstlers und nunmehr Museumsleiters Wilhelm Koch gegründet, dessen häufig auch interaktive Arbeiten in der ständigen Ausstellung zahlreich zu sehen sind.
Zur Zeit läuft auch die Sonderausstellung „Inflandia“ der russischen Künstlerin Sasha Frolova, die schrille und exzentrische Latexskulpturen und -kostüme kreiert, die sie auch im Rahmen ihrer Performances trägt (siehe arte Beitrag). Die Ausstellung ist noch bis zum 30. Juli 2017 zu sehen.
Beides – das Luft Museum und die Ausstellung von Sasha Frolova sind absolut sehenswert!
I had a great weekend in Etsdorf and Amberg (Bavaria) and visited, beside other highlights, also the Air Museum in Amberg, were you can hear, see, grasp, experience and understand air. The Air Museum was founded as a private initiative by artist and museum director Wilhelm Koch – you can see plenty of his often interactive art works in the permanent exhibition of the museum.
At the moment there is also a temporary exhibition with the Russian artist Sasha Frolova, who shows her fancy and eccentric latex sculptures and costumes in the show „Inflandia“ which is running till 30. July 2017. (There is a video about her perfomances on arte.)
Both, the Air Museum itself and the exhibition of Sasha Frolova: Not to be missed!!
Umspannwerk Recklinghausen
Ein schöner Ausflug zum Umspannwerk Recklinghausen – eine „Kombination aus Industriedenkmal, moderner Betriebsstätte und einem Museum“ (Quelle). Das „Museum Strom und Leben“ zeigt die Geschichte der Elektrifizierung. Der Rundgang ist thematisch gegliedert in die Abteilungen Entdecken, Erzeugen, Verteilen, Sammeln, Arbeiten, Heilen, Wohnen, Vergnügen, Spielen, Werben von und mit Strom. Die vielen historischen Objekten zum Anfassen machen den Besuch besonders interessant. Der Bereich, der die An- bzw. Verwendung von Strom darstellt, hat mich besonders fasziniert – dort habe ich so viele lustige Dinge entdeckt wie zum Beispiel die „Föhnraupe“. Sehr sehenswert!

A nice trip to Substation Recklinghausen – a combination of an industrial monument, modern production site and museum. The „Museum Electricity and Life“ shows the history of electrification. The round tour is thematically divided in the sections Discover, Product, Distribut, Collect, Work, Heal, Live, Amusement, Play, Advertising (with) Electricity. Various objects available for visitors to touch make the visit very interesting. Especially the area with all of its features which documents the usage of electricity captivated me – there I discovered many very funny things like for example the „Blow Drier Caterpillar“. Very worth seeing!
