Anatomical Alphabet
Das Anatomisches Alphabet habe ich aus folgendem Material zusammengestellt:
Abbildungen aus einem medizinischen Atlas mit historischen Bildern, einem alten Fächerregister und einem alten, handgemachten Kalligraphie-Übungsbuch einer mir unbekannten Frau namens Gertrud Bach – beides in meinem Lieblings-Secondhand-Bücherladen gefunden, ausgestanzten Farbkreisen aus einem Farbtheoriebuch sowie vernähten Fäden und Tinte. Ich habe sehr spontan und intuitiv gearbeitet – deswegen habe ich die einzelnen Karten nicht mit den jeweiligen anatomischen Begiffen versehen – manche sind auf Deutsch, manche auf Englisch, manche in einer Sprache, die nur in meinem Kopf existiert.

The Anatomical Alphabet is made out of images from a medical atlas with historical pictures, a vintage fan folder and a vintage handmade calligraphy exercise book from a woman, unknown to me, called Gertrud Bach – both found in my favorite secoand hand bookshop, punched out color-circles form a book about color theory, as well as sewed threads and ink. I worked very spontaneously and intuitively – therefore I did not name the antomical terms on the cards – some are in German, some are in English, some are in a language that exists only in my head.
