Das erste von zwei Büchern, die ich im Rahmen meines Kollaborationsprojektes
Die ungleichen Zwillinge dieses Mal mit David Dellafiora bearbeite, ist fertig.
Zwei gleiche Bücher aus der Insel Bücherei, vor dem Altpapiercontainer gerettet, dienen als Grundlage und werden von mir an den jeweiligen Kollaborationspartner verschickt. Beide gestalten eins der beiden Bücher als Starter, beide beenden das jeweils andere, so dass am Ende zwei Originale Bücher entstanden sind. Jeder erhält sein gestartetes Buch zurück.
Das ist das Buch, dass ich für David gestartet habe – und er hat es beendet.
Ich finde es SUPER! Danke David!

The Unequal Twins – this time with David Dellafiora, is finished.

Die ungleichen Zwillinge dieses Mal mit Stefan Heuer bearbeite, ist fertig.
Zwei gleiche Bücher aus der Insel Bücherei, vor dem Altpapiercontainer gerettet, dienen als Grundlage und werden von mir an den jeweiligen Kollaborationspartner verschickt. Viktorianisches Fotoalbum

Neulich habe ich auf dem Flohmarkt ein völlig zerstörtes Viktorianisches Fotoalbum gefunden und wegen des wunderschönen Einbands und all der fantastischen Kabinettkarten die darin waren gekauft. Dann kam mir die Idee, daraus ein Leporello-Fotoalbum zu machen, denn die Bindung war eh nicht mehr vorhanden. Und so ist dieses Buch entstanden:
10 Seiten mit alten Fotos und vielen Blumen und Vögeln – denn mir war so sehr nach schöner Natur.
Die Maße: 33 x 19 x 5,5 cm (13 x 7,5 x 2,2 inches)

Recently I found a completely destroyed Victorian photo album at the flea market and bought it because of the beautiful cover and all the fantastic cabinet cards it contained. Then I had the idea to make a Leporello photo album out of it, because the binding was no longer there anyway. And so this book was created:
10 pages with old photos and many flowers and birds – because I felt so much like beautiful nature.
The dimensions: 33 x 19 x 5,5 cm (13 x 7,5 x 2,2 inches)

Collaborative book project by Geronimo  Finn called „Add and Pass“ where I took part in. I like the idea and so I am happy to be part of it. Each participant creates one double page and send the book to another one. At the end Geronimo gets it back. I don´t know how much books like this he spread all over the world – but there are MANY on tour.

Kollaboratives Buchprojekt von Geronimo Finn mit dem Titel „Add and Pass“, an dem ich teilgenommen habe. Mir gefällt die Idee und so bin ich froh, Teil davon zu sein. Jeder Teilnehmer erstellt eine Doppelseite und sendet das Buch dann an jemand anderen. Am Ende bekommt Geronimo es zurück. Ich weiß nicht, wie viele Bücher wie dieses Geronimo auf der ganzen Welt verbreitet hat – aber es sind VIELE auf Tour.

Gesundheits-Atlas – als kleiner Katalog

Den Gesundheits-Atlas von 1958 habe ich vor einigen Jahren in meinem Lieblings-Secondhand-Buchladen gefunden – und dann, weil ich ihn zu schön zum Verarbeiten fand, in meinen Bücherschrank gestellt. Aber kürzlich war es dann doch soweit, und nun habe ich 39 Collagen in einer Mappe. Meine Überlegung, davon einen kleinen Katalog zu drucken habe ich zwischenzeitlich ebenfalls in die Tat umgesetzt – und hier nun mein Durchblättervideo von dem Katalog (Größe: A5).
Hier kannst Du alle Collagen einzeln in Ruhe anschauen.

A few years ago I found the 1958 Health Atlas in my favourite secondhand bookshop – and then, because I found it too beautiful to process, put it in my bookcase. But recently it did happen, and now I have 39 collages in a folder. My consideration to print a small catalogue of it I have also put into practice in the meantime – and here now the video while I am browsing the catalogue (size: A5).

Den Gesundheits-Atlas von 1958 habe ich vor einigen Jahren in meinem Lieblings-Secondhand-Buchladen gefunden – und dann, weil ich ihn zu schön zum Verarbeiten fand, in meinen Bücherschrank gestellt. Aber nun war es dann doch soweit – und hier ist das Ergebnis: 39 Collagen in einer Mappe – eine Menge Arbeit. Ich bin, in aller Bescheidenheit,  mit dem Ergebnis zu frieden und überlege, daraus ein kleines Heft zu drucken. Mal sehen.

A few years ago I found the Health Atlas from 1958 in my favourite Secondhand bookshop, and then, because I found it too beautiful to alter, put it in my bookcase. But now the time had come – and here is the result: 39 collages in a folder – a lot of work. I am, in all modesty,  satisfied with the result and am thinking of printing a small booklet from it. We will see.

mit Vizma Bruns (2/2)

Es ist vollbracht!
Das zweite Buch der Ungleichen Zwillinge mit Vizma Bruns ist fertig und somit das Zwillingspaar vollständig.
In einem vorherigen Artikel habe ich den ersten Zwilling gezeigt, von mir gestartet und von Vizma beendet. Hier nun das Buch, das Vizma gestartet und ich fertiggestellt und an sie zurückgeschickt habe (Video und Fotos am Ende des Artikels Fotos). Vielen Dank für´s Mitmachen, Vizma!
