Collage 2013 – 40 x 29,5 cm

This is the story of „The Left Overs“ – my new collage series out of snippets from the last year. All backgrounds out of a bunch of black and white photos I found in my favorite 2.hand book shop – so sorry to say, but they are from an unknown photographer, taken during a trip through Irland in 1987 – so written in the wrapper they were in.

Das ist die Geschichte der Übriggebliebenen – meine neue Collage-Serie aus Schnippseln des vergangenen Jahres. Alle Hintergründe sind Fotos aus einem Schwung, den ich in meinem Lieblings 2.Hand-Buchladen gefunden habe – leider ist der Photograph nicht bekannt – aber alle Photos sind auf einer Reise durch Irland 1987 enstanden, so stand es jedenfalls in der Schutzhülle, in der ich sie gefunden habe.

Es war mal wieder an der Zeit, meinen Schreibtisch aufgeräumt. Zuerst habe ich alle Schnipsle auf einem Stapel gesammelt und dann thematisch sortiert. Dabei kam mir die Idee zu meiner neuen Serie mit übriggebliebenen Schnipseln meiner Collagen des letzten Jahres: „Die Übriggebliebenen“. Ab morgen werde ich die Ergebnisse posten.

It was time to reorganized my desk. First of all I piled all snippets and afterwards I sorted them by theme. I hit on an idea to work on a new series using the remainders of my collage work from the last year: „The Left Overs“. Tomorrow I will start posting the results.
