Ric Kasini Kadour : Schwitters’ Army Residency

english version:
Ric  [Kasini Kadour] was artist in residence at MERZ [Gallery] [Sanquhar/ Schottland] during January and February [2020]. Ric put out an open call for artists to submit collages to MERZ under the title ‚Schwitters‘ Army‘. Anticipating a hundred or so submissions, two hundred and two arrived, mostly by post but others by hand. Ric’s residency brought together artists from twenty-four counties and engaged artists in Scotland and – in particular Dumfries and Galloway – in a workshop conducted by Rhed Fawell and in forming a collage network. MERZ has promised to exhibit the collection again in ten years and there are plans meantime to engage artists in labs to explore ideas of ‚history making‘ in and around the industries and traditions of Sanquhar and Upper Nithsdale.“ (Source)

I am very happy to be part of the project and the exhibition with a collage!
