Das Shanghai Museum ist das bedeutendste Museum für antike Chinesische Kunst. Die Sammlung des Museums umfasst mehr als 1 Million Exponate – da kann man in der begrenzten Zeit einfach nicht alles sehen! Da ich mich schon seit längerem für traditionelle Kleidung / Trachten interessiere, habe ich mich darauf konzentriert – und bin in der Abteilung „Chinese Minority Nationalities‘ Art Gallery“ fündig geworden. Wunderschöne, faszinierende, aufwendig hergestellte und verarbeitete Textilien – eine echte Augenweide! Und sehr inspirierend!

The Shanghai Museum is a world-famous museum of ancient Chinese art. The collection includes more than 1 million exhibits – so you can´t manage to see everything! As for I am interested in traditional costumes for a while I concentrated on the section „Chinese Minority Nationalities‘ Art Gallery“ of the museum. I found wonderful, fascinating, elaborately produced and processed textiles – real treasures – and very inspiring!
