Das Magazin KART ist eine Sammelpublikation zur Förderung der künstlerischen und kulturellen Vielfalt. KART ist ein fortlaufendes Projekt ohne Fristen, und es werden laufend Arbeiten angenommen. KART wird in limitierter Auflage von 40 Exemplaren produziert, wobei jede Box Werke von 15 Künstlern enthält. Diese Ausgabe ist eine Rekorderscheinung mit Werken von 24 Künstlern!
KART wird in Zusammenarbeit zwischen genU und Field Study International herausgegeben.

Ich fühle mich sehr geehrt, dass die Jury von haus_a_rest meine Nymphe für ihre Magazinausgabe #47 mit dem Thema „Celebrating Women“ als Teil des Aufrufs ausgewählt hat. Vielen Dank an Jenna Fox und Nichola!

Nymphen in der Mythologie verkörpern oft die Verbindung zwischen Frauen und der Natur, symbolisieren Schönheit, Fruchtbarkeit und die mysteriösen Aspekte des weiblichen Seins. Ihre Rolle betont die Vielfalt weiblicher Attribute, von schützender Natur bis hin zur unabhängigen Freiheit, und spiegelt kulturelle Vorstellungen von Weiblichkeit wider. Als mythologische Figuren bieten Nymphen Raum für die Reflexion über die verschiedenen Rollen und Kräfte, die Frauen in der Gesellschaft und der Natur verkörpern können.

Meine analogen Nymphen-Collagen sind 2021 entstanden

I’m so honored that the judges at haus_a_rest chose my nymph for their magazine issue #47 with the theme „Celebrating Women“ as part of the call. Many thanks to Jenna Fox and Nichola!

Nymphs in mythology often embody the connection between women and nature, symbolizing beauty, fertility and the mysterious aspects of being female. Their role emphasizes the diversity of female attributes, from protective nature to independent freedom, and reflects cultural notions of femininity. As mythological figures, nymphs offer space for reflection on the different roles and powers that women can embody in society and nature.

Ich freue mich sehr, erneut bei BRAIN CELL von Ryosuke Cohen dabei zu sein –

Ryosuke ist ein Mail Art Künstler, der 1985 das Projekt Brain Cell ins Leben gerufen hat, in das Tausende von Mail Artisten aus mehr als 80 Ländern involviert sind. „Das Projekt ist ein vernetztes Kunstprojekt, bei dem einzelne Künstler Briefmarken, Aufkleber, Zeichnungen oder andere Bilder beisteuern. Diese werden per Post an Cohen geschickt, der sie als Teil jeder Zelle zusammenstellt und druckt. Er druckt 150 Exemplare (30 x 42 cm) mit einem kleinen Siebdrucksystem namens Cyclostyle. Jeder Teilnehmender erhält per Post einen Brain Cell-Ausdruck zusammen mit einer Dokumentationsliste der Mitwirkenden weltweit.
Cohen behält eine Kopie für sich. Einige der verbleibenden Brain Cell-Drucke aus jeder Ausgabe sind zu Sätzen von 30 aufeinanderfolgenden Ausgaben zusammengestellt. Diese Sets werden an Künstler und Mail-Art-Shows auf der ganzen Welt verschickt. […] Neue Ausgaben von Brain Cell erscheinen alle acht bis zehn Tage. “ (Quelle)

Ryosuke is a mail art artist who started the Brain Cell project in 1985, involving thousands of mail artists from more than 80 countries. „The project is a networked art project in which individual artists contribute stamps, stickers, drawings or other images. These are mailed to Cohen, who compiles and prints them as part of each cell. He prints 150 copies (30 x 42 cm) using a small screen-printing system called Cyclostyle. Each participant receives a Brain Cell print in the mail, along with a documentation list of contributors worldwide.
Cohen keeps a copy for himself. Some of the remaining Brain Cell prints from each issue are compiled into sets of 30 consecutive issues. These sets are sent to artists and mail art shows around the world. […] New issues of Brain Cell are released every eight to ten days. “ (Source)

Ich freue mich sehr, bei R_epertoire – X. International Spanish Flue Mail Art Biennale, Veres Attila – Hall of the Thalia House of the Herman Ottó Museum – Miskolc Gallery, HUN mit meiner Collage DADA THEATRE (A4) dabei zu sein. Besten Dank an Vas Tibor für die Einladung, daran teilzunehmen.
Die Ausstellung wird am Welt-Theater-Tag, 27.3.204, eröffnet und ist bis August 2024 zu sehen.
Einige mir bekannte Mail Art Kollegen sind auch dabei, wie z.B. Susanna Lakner, Lars Schumacher, Horst Tress, Ruggero Maggi, Serse Luigetti, Ryosuke Cohen, Keiichi Nakamura und Michelangelo Mayo (siehe unten)

The exhibition will open on World Theater Day, 27.3.204, and will run until August 2024.

Standard Processes in Dressmaking

„Standard Processes in Dressmaking“ ist ein kollaboratives Buchprojekt, zu dem Alison Kurke vor längerer Zeit eingeladen hat. Daran gearbeitet haben, neben Alison selbst, @dorotheemesander , @sabine.remy.collage, @whatapageturner , @carolreidwhite, @planet_susannia, @evelyncromwell, @motherofthedollgirl, @lisasheets_artspawn.
Die Aufgabe bestand darin, gestartete Seiten zu ergänzen, eigene Seiten zu starten oder vollständig selbst zu gestalten.
Alison ist es gelungen, Kasini House für eine Publikation zu gewinnen. Das Buch wird nächsten Monat dort erscheinen.
Ich freue mich außerordentlich, dabei zu sein und bedanke mich ganz herzlich bei Alison für die Idee, die Einladung und all ihren Enthusiasmus, den sie in dieses Projekt gesteckt hat – sowie bei Ric Kasini für die Veröffentlichung.

Das Buch wird im Rahmen der Ausstellung „Grafikpapier“ im Borders Textile Towerhause in Hawick, Schottland.
Eröffnung und Buchpräsenation am Samstag, 13. April 2024, 13 – 15 Uhr.
Wie schade, dass ich nicht vor Ort sein kann. Mehr Informationen über die Ausstellung sind hier zu finden.
Es ist so umfangreich dass ich hier nur die Seiten zeige, die ich alleine gestaltet habe – im Januar 2022. Ich bin sehr gespannt, wie sich das Buch entwickelt hat!

„Standard Processes in Dressmaking“ is a collaborative book project to which Alison Kurke invited us some time ago. Besides Alison herself, @dorotheemesander , @sabine.remy.collage, @whatapageturner , @carolreidwhite, @planet_susannia, @evelyncromwell, @motherofthedollgirl, @lisasheets_artspawn worked on it.
The task was to add to pages that had been started, start their own pages or design them completely themselves.
Alison managed to get Kasini House to publish the book. The book will be published there next month.
I am delighted to be involved and would like to thank Alison for the idea, the invitation and all the enthusiasm she has put into this project – and Ric Kasini for the publication. Details about the book can be found here. (unpaid advertising)
The book will be presented as part of the exhibition „Graphic Paper“ at Borders Textile Towerhause in Hawick, Scotland.
Opening and book presentation on Saturday, April 13, 2024, 1 – 3 pm.
What a shame I can’t be there. More information about the exhibition can be found here.
It’s so extensive that I’m only showing the pages here that I designed on my own – in January 2022. I’m very excited to see how the book has developed!

Bibliothek der Zukunft – Ausstellungsdokumentation

Über die Ausstellungsdokumentation der Mail Art Ausstellung „Bibliothek der Zukunft“ (09-11/2023) des Kunstvereins Geislingen in der dortigen Stadtbücherei habe ich mich sehr gefreut. Besten Dank an den Kurator Peter Schubert!

90 KünstlerInnen aus 22 Ländern haben Arbeiten gesendet – meine ist unten zu sehen. Mit dabei auch einige, mit denen ich selber schon Mail Art ausgetauscht und/oder zusammengearbeitet habe oder schon in diversen Sammelmagazinen gemeinsam vertreten war, wie z.B. Michel Untzilla, Svenja Wahl aka Lottchen Echo, Horst Tress, Thorsten Fuhrmann, Christian Alle, Richard Baudet, Serse Luigetti, Keiichi Nakamura, Ryosoke Cohen, Rod Summers, Cristina Holm, Joey Patrickt, Michelangelo Mayo und viele andere.

Besonders erfreut bin ich, dass meine Arbeit, ebenso wie die Arbeiten von Honoria Starbuck, Jürgen O. Olbrich, Ko de Jonge, Riggero Maggi, Rod Summers, The Sticker Dude Joel Cohen und Tofu, in der Dokumentation explizit gezeigt werden.

Es gibt auch schon einen neuen Aufruf des Kunstvereins Eislingen für eine Ausstellung in 2025.

I was very pleased to receive the exhibition documentation of the mail art exhibition „Bibliothek der Zukunft“ (09-11/2023) of the Kunstverein Geislingen in the local public library. Many thanks to the curator Peter Schubert!

There is also already a new call from the Kunstverein Eislingen for an exhibition in 2025.
