Tulpen Wunder

Ein neus Buch ist da – ich brauchte etwas wirklich positives und farbenprächtiges und so habe ich das „Tulpen Wunder“ kreiert. Dazu habe ich zwei ähnliche Blumenbücher miteinander kombiniert indem ich zunächst alle Seiten herausgeschnitten, 15 davon collagiert und dann wieder in einer neuen Art und Weise zusammengefügt habe. Nun kann man es entfalten und hat am Ende ein Tableau.
Unten kannst Du das Entfalten im Video sehen und am Ende des Artikels alle einzelnen Collagen in voller Größe.

A new book is born – I really needed something positive and colourful – and so I made this „Wonder of Tulips“. I combined two similar flower books, cut out each page, collaged 15 of them and merged them together in a new way. Now you can unfold it and see a tableau.
Above you can see a video where I am unfolding the „Wonder Tulips“ and below each single page / collage in full size.

Was wären wir Collage-Künstler ohne Papier?!
Hier ist ein Portrait über einen der letzten Papiermacher in Europa – Gangolf Ulbricht. Gangolf Ulbricht hat für viele bekannte Künstler gearbeitet, wie z.B. Jenny Holzer, Louise Bourgeois, Guenther Uecker, Jonathan Meese, Damien Hirst, Christiane Baumgartner, Matthias Weischer und viele andere. (Quelle) Es ist eine Freude, ihm bei der Arbeit zuzuschauen und ihn über Papier sprechen zu hören.

Here is a portrait about „one of the last handcrafting papermaker in Europe – and his great love for paper“ – Gangolf Ulbricht. „Gangolf has worked for a number of known artists like: Jenny Holzer, Louise Bourgeois, Guenther Uecker, Jonathan Meese, Damien Hirst, Christiane Baumgartner, Matthias Weischer and many more.“ (Source) It is a real pleasure to see how he works and to hear what he speaks about paper.

Ich freue mich sehr, nun schon zum zweiten Mal bei einem der von Tony Gohagan und Anna Sandalaki aus den Mitgliedsbeiträgen der Gruppe „Collagistes Collective“ zusammengestellten Videos dabei sein zu dürfen. Das Thema dieses Videos ist: „Tierische Instinkte“.
Unten ist mein „Exotischer Vogel Nr. 1“ (von 2014) zu sehen, der seinen Weg in das Video gefunden hat.

I am very pleased to be part of the assembling video for the second time, running by Tony Gohagan and Anna Sandalaki who put together Collagistes Collective’s Members works like a puzzle, revealing a bigger picture – addressing a theme. That idea became  #CollagistesConversations – this time´s theme: „Animal Instinct“
And below is my „Exotic Bird No1“ (2014) which found its way into the video.

Bei meiner Suche im Netz nach einer guten Anleitung für die Herstellung von Bommeln – oder auch Pompoms genannt – habe ich dieses Video von  Jenine Bressner gefunden und fand es ganz klasse! Manchmal ist es gut etwas anderes zu tun als zu Schnippeln und zu Kleben!

While searching in the net to find a good tutorial about making pom moms I found this video by Jenine Bressner and liked it a lot! Sometimes it´s just good to do something else thank snipping and glueing.

I found this in the net – and this is just stunning!
Designer, art director and concept artist Maxim Zheytkov  „is a visual artist and motion designer based in Russia. His main passions are animation, design and cinematography“ (source). „Elements is an experimental art film by Maxim Zhestkov about nature, physics, art and love. More than 2 billion elements / particles governed by tensions and forces of nature were used to tell stories and show emotions through the motion of collective behavior. The film is a trial to explore the idea that everything around us and inside us is made from simple elements / blocks which can be arranged in complex relationships and become compound structures. We could project this idea into emotions, behaviours, thought processes, relationships, life, planets and the universe.“ (source)

Das habe ich im Netz gefunden – und es ist wirklich großartig!
Die Passion von Designer, Art-Direktor and Konzeptkünstler Maxim Zheytkov  sind Animationen, Design und Kinematographie. „Elements“ ist ein experimenteller Film von ihm über Natur, Physik, Kunst und Liebe. Mehr als 2 Milliarden Elemente werden durch Spannung und Kraft in Bewegung gesetzt und erzählen durch ihr gemeinsames Verhalten Geschichten. Der Film ist ein Versuch, die Idee zu erkunden, dass alles was um uns herum ist aus den selben Elementen gemacht ist und besteht. Nachdem ich für TIC TAC Patrizias Zine in a book all die kleinen Dada-Mäulchen auf den Weg geschickt habe, war ich schon ein bisschen traurig. Deswegen habe ich meine eigene Kollektion mit neuen Bildern gemacht und alle in einem Buch zusammengefasst.

After I made my contribution for TIC TAC Patrizias Zine in a box I was a bit sad to let all those little Dada-mouths go. Therefore I made my own collection with other images and put them all together in one book.
